Brazen hussy of a bartendress was a tad cunty. I respect that. I don't respect poorly made cocktails. Ordered a vodka gimlet that ended up tasting like a straight up martini with a squish of lime. No garnish. The second time I order I get lip. Whatever. Obnoxed. No purse hooks at the bar. Piss! Ooh a smoking area. Thats cool. The music was a cross between old school hits (80s90s) and top 40. Definitely me. Plus points. Unique decor.. couldn't help but gawk at the large garish gothic/renaissance paintings - like the rather cavalier Genghis Kahn standing over his cowering concubine.. or or the full frontal and pubey nude on the back wall. Filled up rather quickly by 6p. No real deal for happy hour. I appreciate the place itself, but they should lose the attitude behind the bar.

wow. nuts. crazy dance club. the front and the second floor are pretty cramped. go to the back left if you want somewhere to sit and try to have a conversation with someone. the music is pretty loud. unique to this venue (as far as i've seen in miami) is that their employees will occasionally come out for choreographed dance routines. there was a live band when we rented out this place...they rocked out...not sure if it was a house band or just a random local group. if you're in the front, be ready to be captured on video. there is a video camera that projects you standing/dancing(mostly) in the front area. located in the heart of south beach on ocean drive and 9th or 10th.

Again, I appreciate being recommended "Today's Special" only if you really think it's going to be good. Maybe there is an unspoken rule on Crescent Avenue to make poor recommendations from your daily specials... especially if you don't know anything else about your menu (please see my review of South City Kitchen). My father and I ate here tonight and he got the buffalo shrimp sandwich (one of his favorite sandwiches anywhere) and I got the blackened chicken and pasta. I was torn between that and the Greek chicken over rice and based on the server's recommendation I got the pasta special. I swear she described it as being in a creamy white wine sauce. Well, she got the white wine part right, but there wasn't really evidence of any sauce. When I asked her about it she came back with another sauce that I could use as a substitute. The new sauce was some spicy tomato and seafood based goo that didn't quite go with blackened chicken. I appreciate her efforts, however I can't live on good intentions... I'll probably go back and if you dine here I recommend something off the menu that can be clearly described in writing.
