This place is REALLY good. So far I've been twice and I have yet to be disappointed. Their queso dip and guacamole are the best place to start. I wish I could tell you that the entire menu is on point, but I've only eaten the carne a la parilla with the jalepeno mac-n-cheese. And of course it is very reasonably priced and service has yet to be horrible.

Review of Salsa Saturdays: In my still limited experience with L.A. Clubs, this place seems to be the best and biggest spot for dancing to Salsa around here. It reminds me of the Copa in N.Y. (Manhattan) except for the fact that here it is mostly a Latin crowd, maybe like 85%, with the rest being a mix. (I guess that's one of the differences between L.A. and N.Y.C.) Main Floor: They have a live Salsa band throughout the night with a DJ to cap off the evening. The DJ played a good mix of (from largest quantity to smallest) Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Bachata, Dance/Disco/80's Both the lower floor and near the stage are packed as hell, so don't come here if you can't stand weekend crowds. The single guy to girl ratio seems to be around 4 to 1, so the ladies definitely have an advantage. Don't be surprised to find yourself at least once or twice surrounded by mad dudes while taking a break from dancing or just people watching, lol. For the single guys, provided that you're not content with just holding up the wall or railing all night, in the end, I'd say there are enough ladies to keep you dancing for most of the night. The Upstairs: WARNING - the upstairs is like a SWEAT BOX. The music sounded pretty good, I think I heard some 80's at that moment, but As soon as you try to take one step into the already overly packed room/dance floor, it feels like you just got hit with a wall of body heat...nooo joke. As a result, I actually just turned around and back down stairs to make my way to the basement Hip Hop room. The Basement: It's pretty good down here when you want to switch up the music and you can breath down here contrary to the Upstairs sweat box. The DJ played Hip-Hop, Dancehall and I think I heard some Michael Jackson too. The music selection was pretty decent, Top 40 or Crap 40 depending on how you see it and some classic jams. The g/g ratio I think is a little more balanced in here. Parking: There is valet parking all around, but the couple time I've gone I've just parked in this lot where others park too behind the Mayan on Blackstone Court. Doing this, you might see some bums along the way while walking towards the club, but it's all good. haha The Drinks: I've only had waters the times that I've gone which were $3, so I'll have to give an update on the liq's. Bottom Line: -$20 cover -This is a Salsa Club. If you're main reason to go here is not to dance Salsa, you should definitely go somewhere else. -Ladies make sure you're not wearing flip flops on a Saturday or you'll get turned away. -Fellas, dress shoes are a must on Saturdays, as I found out two weeks ago when I got turned away for wearing Skechers. That was pretty funny. -Sound system is crazy pumping and the decor is nice as well IT'S A KEEPER!...peace out
