This is a good place to hear a variety of blues bands. The acoustics in the Union Room upstairs are good. It's been awhile, but I recall the sound down in the biscuits & blues room underground being pretty good, too. The ribs smelled great when I was there this week, but I haven't eaten here in a few years, so no food review this time. Overall, I really enjoy the space and they often have some good bands jammin' on the little stages (upstairs is smaller, but has the rows of windows that let you look down on the street below and people watch outside while diggin' the grooves inside. Good times!

So, I like 6 feet under. The price is reasonable and the food is pretty good. But that's about it. We used to eat at the old location down the street from its current location and it was the same. Not much has changed, but you know how a restaurant gets too popular and then they go and get really big and then they can;t handle it? Well, I think thats what has happened. Other reviews are cutting some slack because "they're so popular" or "they're busy because its friday". Well, guess what suckas, the restaurant biz relies on Friday and saturdays so they better have their game face on! We went this past Friday. It was like bachelorette party Friday or something because there were 2 huge parties of girls in that dumb get-up they wear on bachlorette party night- veils, penis straws, other dumb sh*t like that. Whatever, I prayed the hostess would not seat us near the squealing monsters. So, we gave a phone number instead of getting a blinky-vibrating coaster. They called we answered, we went to the hostess station, then they called again, and again, and one more time after we were seated and had drinks. That's sweet that they care but clearly the system is flawed. So the hostess hands us menus and we go upstairs as directed. No one acknowledges us, its a madhouse up there, and no empty seats. Finally we catch a waitress and she directs us back downstairs. We wait some more and get the next table. Our waitress Peaches did a great job and our food came out pretty fast but the new location is soooooo loud its like being in a nightclub. I lost my voice from yelling over the echoing roar. They need some accoustic tile or something. One thing I do approve of is the food. While it is not the best seafood, they do not try to be. It is delicious and plentiful. Their okra is awesome and I believe portions are larger than the old location. I want this place to be super awesome but for now it is adequate. Not a good date night place, probably best on a Monday night.
