What a shame, what a shame. This is the second time I've come here. The first experience was a better one. I was using a Groupon and was able to try an extra dish that I may not have ordered otherwise. This experience, however, left me doubting if I'd ever come back. First, they sat us at a small two person table, despite the fact that there were several empty larger square tables that sat four - the table right next to us in fact. I complained about it to my date practically the entire night. Second, the four person table I just referred to had dirty dishes left from the previous customers, and it literally took them an hour into our dinner before clearing it away - they were not busy today. Third, it took over 45 minutes for us to get our order of 4 sushi rolls and 2 pieces of nigiri - compare that to Sushi Bar Yu-Ka where we ordered 6 rolls and it took them 15 minutes to serve. Fourth, they had a Monday special on the sushi's and nigiri's, and by 8pm they were sold out of the fatty tuna nigiri. Couple that with the fact that the waiter failed to mention that each order only comes with one piece of nigiri instead of the two pieces stated on the menu because of the "special". Fifth, the waiter was very elusive. I think I asked "where's our waiter" maybe 5 or 6 times throughout the course of our dinner. And finally, to top things off, the waiter took our bill and credit card and our neighbor's bill and credit card at the same time to pay the bills. When he came back, he gave me the wrong bill - I could tell by looking at the credit card sticking out of the sleeve. And then he told me that he swiped my card TWICE for both checks...WHAT?!?! Why would you do that and how?!?! I'm still so perplexed. Instead of charging each card, the waiter charged my card for both my bill and the bill for the party sitting next to us. Their card was not charged at all. $*!(*@#!!! How do you make that mistake??? And get this - after going back to correct the problem, he told me "Don't worry, this happens all the time." *&^%#(*&^#!!! REALLY? DOES IT? If it does, I'm very afraid for them. This should not EVER happen to ANYONE. And even after the long wait, the asterisk on the "special", and completely botching our bill, still he did not try to offer any sort of compensation to us. *sigh* I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately our bumbling waiter really screwed things up. At least I got a good story out of it that I'll be able to share with all.

I had a meat craving- a burger craving, to be more specific. I'll cut to the chase: I ended up with tuna. Not meat, but tuna. We ordered the caesar salad, which came out promptly. That was followed by the tuna tartare, which had a bit of a sweet edge. It was certainly not short on the tuna though. This burger was a mess to eat, but quite tasty. Also had the Butcher's cut- meat, blue cheese, onions. Standard, but good and filling. + The zucchini fries. I actually loved these. Addictive little things. Didn't have room for dessert. But, I want to point out that they have a machine like efficiency in the kitchen. We were sitting at the back bar watching all the action. Food came out quickly, every dish looked consistent, and service came with a smile.

Reminds me of a Bukowski novel. The drinks are generously poured but it takes forever for the bartender to make your drink (even though usually there are only 5 people inside and she's only making your drink) The food is pretty good, but you may get it before your drink.
