by Kitty L. on I hang out around this neighborhood, I like the atmosphere of ESSR, and love the idea of local food, so trust me, I wanted to like this place. Unfortunately, every time I've been here, the service has been horrible. The service could quite possibly be the worst in Austin. I have ordered food here on several occasions and not received it, the servers just didn't put the order in and didn't seem to care. When I have eaten here, the food is okay. The drinks take about 30 minutes to make, and aren't even that good. If you want the same drinks faster and with better service, go down the street to The Good Knight. I honestly don't know what is wrong with the servers at ESSR. I am not exaggerating when I say that the service might be the worst in Austin.
by Bryce A. on I don't really like Latin music, but this place plays a great mix of LATIN beats. I have only been here for the club atmosphere on the weekend. VIP+DJs Booth + your name in Lasers on the wall = Priceless!!!! ~Great place to go and shack your tail feather!
by Mafalda Gooder on I give it a 2-star but added a 3rd because I was in the good company of fellow happy-hour rateclubsers. Two beers a burger w/fries for 15-bucks...not a bad deal. However, the burger wasn't all that great. If I worked within walking distance, I would come here for an occasional lunch or after work pint. But since I don't, I probably won't back. Oh and good job Tami for figuring out the bill.
