I can't judge the interior of the club because I didn't go inside. However, on the night that I attempted to go I found the promoters to be overly standoffish and judgmental. I haven't had such an experience at a club in a LONG time. I was extremely polite but kept getting ignored or the run around. Ultimately the promoter blatantly said he didn't want to let us in because of how my friend was dressed. It had nothing to do with us being too casual ie. jeans, tennis shoes, hat. My friend had on a large silver necklace...but not on some cheesy rapper wannabe status or anything...no cubic zirconia shiny stuff in it. Just a big necklace. He was told he needed to take off his "bling bling bullshit" before he could go in. The point is that we were not dressed casually and were very polite and patient but were basically denied access because of that promoter's personal style preference. The world is filled with too much hatred and the economy is too shitty to be that judgmental towards people in my opinion. The only reason I'm not only giving 1 star is because I can't evaluate the decor, but it would be nice if the management would improve their overall customer service.

I love both Continental locations for different reasons. I think midtown definitely has a leg-up for 2 reasons. 1. ROOF DECK- I mean, have you been up there it's perfection. 2. they deliver through Dining In (this is good for me, and so bad for my wallet) This location is a tight space, but the food is delicious, and probably my biggest weakness in the world. We once went here for a friend's 21st and spent more money than I can even imagine on a single evening of drinking (I'm not even sure we ate) - but it was a really fantastic time, and it was worth the money - and the birthday girl had an exceptional time so it was all worth it. In closing, I'd just like to reiterate- I love it here. i have no complaints, I'll try to think of some, but I have none currently.

Yes, do arrive early to get a good seat. The performance is so much more when you can make eye contact with the on stage artist. We came here last year around this time and saw a wonderful musician Rachelle Ferrell perform who swayed us with her smooth jazz vocals and awed us with a flexibility produced through her melodic and tonally creative syllabic staccato. At one point during one of her scats, someone's cell phone began to produce that distinct repetition of the Motorola standard ring. The band came to a halt but she barely paused before mimicing the ringtone in impromptu that rose to a crescendo of laughter and applause. Classic. It was a bit tough to get a drink order in here, since we were right up against the stage and it was a hassle to squish out to the bar and back, plus, far from being able to call out drink orders from the aisle to the waitstaff in the middle of a great piece, they just didn't come around too often. Best to get your pre-show swerve on elsewhere.
