This place is a sauna, bring a towel and a luffa! OK, I was spending the New Year period in NY and was checking out spots to party... Its Funkbox, Tony Touch's night...the first Sunday after NYE and the place is bumpin'! Most importantly the music is top notch, this is exactly the type and quality of House music I would expect in NY. The crowd is friendly and up for it and everybody is dancing! Few cute girls and lots of dancers doing their thing...great atmosphere! If I lived in NYC I would make this one of my regulars...

I really miss the Star Bar and its photo booth. I saw many, many shows here during my Atlanta days. Hands down best Star Bar moment ever - Neko Case lifting up her shirt on stage because she had "just seen a cop walk by the front door." Love it.

Oy, such a scene! Dinner on Saturday is B&T hardcore. Shame, it's a spacious, beautifully decorated series of open spaces and cozy corners -- skylights, staircases, fireplaces, chandeliers -- never boring. Food was delish, but the service varied from indifferent to snobby. I don't like a matre d' who looks sideways at my shoes (of course, my kicks passed the test, but still!). Perhaps better suited to Tuesdays or lunches.
