Let me start off by saying we went here for the first time on Restaurant week for lunch so we weren't really sure what to expect. However, I did have pretty high expectations of the food and the service after reading all of the 5-star reviews from fellow rateclubsers. The space was awesome very warm and even though small, the high ceilings made it feel very open. At first the service was great. Very helpful and attentive but as the meal went on we saw our server pass by our table a few times as our glasses & coffee cups remained empty. No one came by to ask how anything was until they came to clear our plates. By that time I didn't hesitate to tell them that my main dish had come out cold and flavorless and we could only take a few bites from the Crispy Haloumi that everyone hadraved about. It was saltier than we expected and probably just not right for our personal palates. Taking a step back, the Salatim was amazing and the Hummus-Tahina was ok. Definitely not the best hummus I've ever had - it's hummus with olive oil, cumin and parsley. Really nothing spectacular. Some more bread would have been nice but again, nobody came back to our table to ask if we wanted some. I wouldn't have minded so much but I noticed other servers were much more attentive to their patrons, asking if they wanted more bread, if they had any questions or if they needed more drinks. Back to the food: We ordered the Brussel Sprouts Al Ha' Esh and they freakin' ROCKED! I didn't know I could love brussel sprouts any more than I already did but I could have eaten 5 bowls of these! Next came the Branzino and the ground lamb. As I mentioned above, the Branzino came out cold and the potatoes were extremely oily - I found it extremely flavorless especially after the rich flavors of the previous courses. My husband did love the lamb dish which was plated much nicer than the some of the previous dishes that came our way. When our server finally came back to check on us I mentioned I didn't care for my entree. I rarely complain at restaurants and felt extremely embarrassed when he quickly grabbed the manager. They asked if I would like to try something else and apologized profusely and wanted to know exactly what it was we didn't care for. He also took notes to give the chef. I felt extremely bad for opening my mouth and was extremely embarrassed at all of the attention that was now brought to our table. It was obvious they were more embarrassed and truly cared about us being satisfied with our experience. They then brought us out extra complimentary desserts (I'm not really a dessert person but the Rugelach was pretty damn good), lots of coupons and a personal invitation to dine with them on a regular night. They also knocked off the price of one our meals from the bill. Over-all, there were parts of the meal that we thoroughly enjoyed and we really look forward to coming back on a night when the service isn't compromised by the hustle and bustle of RW and we can try one of the tasting menus. Until the I'll have to stick with 3-stars and shy away from any future RW experiences in the future - it's definitely not worth it.

Tongue and Groove seems more like a bar with a lot of class than an establishment labeled as a dance club. Which I really don't mind considering my days of making a fool of myself on the dance floor are over, for the most part. Okay, okay, I do get a little crunk every now and then. The last time I was there I remember spending lots of money and having a pretty good time. The DJ was playing some old school hip-hop that brought me back to the good ole' days of highschool. Despite this place being ridiculously and almost over the top expensive, I really like the crowd that gathers here. It is mostly people in their mid to late 20's, because they only allow individuals over the age of 23 in the door. This keeps out the 21 year old riff-raff who have net yet developed the art of holding their liquor : )

Our friend who lives around the corner told us about this new bar and she has been frequenting it since its opening day. Cosy by day as a cafe and great space to hang out at night over cocktails and chit-chat. We love the space and setting. Beautiful interior, very modern and chic in its own way and not overly spacey, just a nice cosy touch to it esp the fireplace! Love it. Will try to make it back for breakfast, since everyone raves abt the baked goods! They are open fro 8am to 2am!
