I came here for a birthday last weekend. My friend was having a get together there but advised that I get there before 9 to avoid the long wait/lines and cover charge. Checked out their website and the place looked awesome and the food menu looked interesting, so why not come, dine, and have fun. Made reservations and they were very easy to do. The girl that scheduled and called back to confirm the night before was very helpful and professional. Parking was not too bad. There are lots of garages and places to park, especially at 8 pm. When we first entered, I did not expect the flight of stairs to lead you below. All red, pretty cool..just was hoping that my drunk ass didn't get too drunk, so that I don't fall on my face later on. The place looked really nice. All decorative, asian theme, contemporary, dim. Awesome for both romantic and group dinners. Our server was this kid n play looking kid. He was pretty nice and funny. Happy hour goes on until 9 pm but for food, happy hour eats only good for the lounge area but you can order happy hour drinks from the menu. Here is what we ordered: 1. Chicken skewers $10- I loved this. Huge good pieces of chicken with some seasoning with some awesome sesame/peanut like sauce. Awesome portion. 2. Pork Adobo- It was pretty good, kinda salty, small portions. Taste was good though. No rice..have to order that on the side. 3. Ribs- Didn't get to try it but my friend thought that it was good. Portion was pretty good, too, like 6-7 big pieces but no rice..you have to order on the side. 4. We ordered the coconut sticky rice-- YUM! Big portions. Happy food! I just love coconut rice and very picky about it..normally don't like coconut "sticky" rice but this was deelish! 5. Salmon with green beans- Salmon was very moist and good portion. Lots of sauteed green beans..very good. 6. Crab noodles- pretty good. I had one bite. Noodles were a bit soggy and not too much crab meat but good taste and huge portion. Afterwards, we went to the lounge area. GOOD THING WE CAME EARLY! Place gets PACKED! I would prob get a VIP table if you can because there is no where to sit, but why sit when you can drink and dance. What's also cool beans if that if you have facebook and you check in between 10-11, you get a free well cocktail! SCORE! Good music..the dining area turned into a dance room, too. It was like that house stuff and then hip hop in the lounge area..pretty cool..good crowd- older and mixed but def a more crowded scene than your typical "lounge." The place also has cute gogo dancers. Fun place and def would go again.

They lose a star for the incessant, pervasive and apparently normal smoking indoors, it's was a little suffocating at times. Apart from that and that this place was a hot and humid as hell, it totally ROCKED! It reminded me of clubs in Barcelona, which is a HUGE compliment to any American club. I love that there is no cover, but the drinks a little over the top when it comes to price, so I prepared in advance by having a few before I got there. The line was nuts, it went around the intersection of 16th and 9th and then all the way around 17th and 9th... Luckily, I saw a friend of mine in line, which saved us about 30 minutes, but I take it that the line is this crazy on Sunday nights only on a long, holiday weekend. The DJ was great, I loved that there was no hip hop, and mainly house mixes, PERFECT. The crowd was the most diverse I've ever seen at any bar/lounge/club in NYC or the US for that matter, which is always great to see. Much fun, I will surely be there again! Oh, and though Sundays is gay night, Wendy S. still managed to make out with an apparently straight and not-so-sketchy man who wanted to take her home... Kudos. [She didn't actually go home with him, in case you are curious.]

This place is interesting, the decor is modern and I think downstairs there are beds? Ok no bathroom story here, but there is a story. I'll refrain from telling this but someone had a very good time. HAHHA. Anyway the couches are a bit on the dingy side and my OCD tendencies start to kick in. It's also in the tenderloin which is kinda scary to walk through so I'd recommend driving.
