Honestly, I was underwhelmed by Asia SF. I was expecting a crazy, high-energy, amazing experience, and instead, I got mediocre food and service. The only highlight was the lovely ladies, who were just as fabulous as expected. However, I thought the show was going to be a bit more spectacular, and wish the ladies were singing instead of lip-synching. One more note on the food - the menu lists lots of great ingredients like scallops, ahi tuna, etc. but most of the dishes were so over-seasoned (the soba noodles were so vinegary I could not even eat them) and the meat was so mashed up and fried that I couldn't even tell what I was eating. All in all, I thought the flavors were overdone and the dishes were too heavy. Even the fun ladies can't make up for the fact that if I'm going to spend $50+ on a meal, I would rather spend it somewhere with truly delicious food. It was fun to experience once, but I won't be going back.

I love dessert so I have to say this place is yummy! The first month or so the bartenders were terrible but since then they have hired great ones, and did I mention the dessert. They host a lot of events so I have had a chance to try many different ones and they were all amazing, I actually would stand by the bar and eat them and ignore my friends for a while. The place is nice, great fire place, desserts and very loungy and laid back, great place to come with friends and hang out. It's not overly crowded and the crowed is nice and mellow. This is a great lounge or more mellow bar if you're actually interested what people are saying, here you can hear them.

Highlands was off to a great start - Great location, large venue, pretty decent sound system and a nice mix of people. Well friends those days are long gone. Every club has a cycle and lets just say Highland is on the down slope of this cycle.... So what happened? Well for starters, The Highlands cut down on in house promotions, signed on with outside promoters and lost the diversity of its patronage. When the Club first opened the rudeness of the front door staff led to a number of people not returning. The quality of the events at this venue got progressively worse. The bar prices increased as the quantity of alcohol and the attention span and line of site of the bartenders decreased. Well needless to say Highlands is no where near the top of my list when I want to party in LA or Hollywood. __________________ By: Ali E
