Perhaps I came into this with the wrong expectations. I expected a 50% focus on dining/food and a 50% focus on entertainment. Instead, I would estimate it at a 40% focus on dining/food, 20% focus on entertainment, and 40% focus on buying alcohol. Also, we (my wife and I) were expecting to be "shocked" or made a little uncomfortable. We bought a Groupon a few months ago for supper club. The We were restricted to going to supper club Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday. We decided on a Sunday evening. I took notes on my phone throughout the evening. Ya, that's how much free/bored time I had. We were able to easily find free street parking right outside the club; literally right in front of the doors. We read reviews that recommended we arrive between 7:00pm and 7:30pm. We walked in at 7:30pm. We were promptly shown to our seats by Tex, a guy dressed in a cutoff t-shirt, leather vest and jeans; nothing out of the ordinary. You take of your shoes and dine on firm beds while leaning back on pillows. It was comfortable. There was a small table for the two of us with napkins and a doggie bowl filled with popcorn. Tip: Make the popcorn last. Supper club is also a club, so there was house music playing, but not so loud you could not speak. The room was white, with color changing lights all around. The room could be whatever color they wanted. It was slightly dim, but not too dark to see everything going on around you. The kitchen and bar are open to view the chefs and bartender. A masseuse introduced himself to everyone. He was offering massages for $20/15 min. A 5 minute long video was looping throughout the evening on a projected screen above the kitchen  featuring footage of actors pretending to be "crazy"  in padded cells. About 30 people came total; most were couples this night. Sunday must be a slow night. There was a cage and trapeze hanging from the ceiling. Nobody in the cage, nor anyone performing on the trapeze. The host introduced himself. He was wearing a long white coat, white rimmed glasses, and white pants; again nothing shocking here. His name was Darius. When we were seated, they started taking drink orders. That's all that happened between 7:30pm and 8:00pm. Thankfully we did not show up any earlier than 7:00pm.We usually eat our dinner about 6:00pm, so we were hungry. If you are going for the food, make sure you are not hungry when you arrive. Between 7:30pm and 8:00pm, there was nothing going on as far as entertainment. I assume nothing happened before 7:30pm either. One couple left at 8:00pm; probably too bored and hungry to stay. Shortly after 8pm, the first course was served. It was a a salad with sunburst squash, seared tuna, and olive dressing. This was probably the most "shocking" dish we had the whole night. It was good, but small. As far as entertainment, there was nothing. At 8:30pm, the second course was served. It was a tomato clam chowder. It was "meh." When everyone had their clam chowder, a performance started. A belly dancer danced for about 6-8 minutes. She was good. After being there an hour and fifteen minutes, I was concerned Sunday was a "no performance" night. The belly dancer left, and about 9pm, the third/main course was served. It was beef tenderloin with Hollandaise sauce served on top of broccoli and pureed (mashed) potatoes. This dish was excellent; very tasty. The meat was not particularly lean. When the third entree had been served, a girl in a skimpy french maid outfit came into the dining area and started to "pretend clean" everyone claiming how filthy they were. She did this for about 5 minutes, and made sure everyone had an opportunity to view her rear end as she climbed onto the beds. I did not see anything artistic in this, but it was at least something to break the monotony. At this time, I think staff could sense how dull things were. The bartender made 10 free shots and passed them out to people celebrating something/anything. Nothing particularly wild about it. Two were celebrating birthdays, and one couple said they were celebrating "no children" because they were on a date night and hired a sitter. This took about 5 minutes to pass out the shots. The fourth and final course was an almond parfait with raspberries and chocolate sauce. It came out about 9:30pm. This tasted great. It was served in a doggie bowl. The belly dancer returned when dessert had been served, but this time with flaming torches. She stayed for about 8-10 minutes this time, and jumped onto the beds to dance and flirt. Finally, the experience was over around 10pm. We paid tax and a mandatory 18% gratuity. Overall, probably 20 minutes of entertainment, 30 minutes of eating, and almost 2 hours of boredom. The food alone is not worth the price, and the entertainment was too sparse to justify the price. If you go, expect to be drinking their $10-15 cocktails or be bored. for 2 hours. If you want to be "shocked," go to bay to breakers, or the gay pride parade.

not the best place for chinese food but it's decent. the menu is a bit confusing since the names of the dishes are not the common names other restaurants use elsewhere. it made ordering a bit hard (and that shouldn't happen since i'm chinese). i heard a lot about the scorpion bowls before coming here. i think it just tastes like pineapple juice. it needed a bit more alcohol. the place could be better if the staff understood more english.

I wreaked havoc on my digestive system by eating both Pat's and Geno's within the hour so I could do a side-by-side comparison. Result?  INCONCLUSIVE. Pat's - Pros: - Lots & lots of cheese whiz. - Thick(er), delicious pizza fries. - Better, softer, hoagie. - Cheesesteak add-ons such as mushrooms, peppers, and pizza sauce. Pat's - Cons: - Dirtier.  No pretty tables or clean condiment bar. - Ruder service.  If you don't get the ordering system right, you got to move to the back of the line. Geno's - Pros: - Thicker slices of meat. - Stronger onion flavour. - Clean restaurant decorated in bright orange colours. - Neon-lit environment.  Like the Boardwalk! - Nice service.  They actually wrap and bag your sandwich.  At Pat's, they throw it at you on a piece of wax paper. Geno's - Cons: - Not as much cheese.  Less cheese, less fun! - Thin, McDonald-esqe fries.  Again, less cheese. - Lack of cheesesteak toppings - no mushrooms, peppers, pizza sauce, or anything else. Overall: Better Food: Pat's! Better Experience: Geno's! Other tips: - Only outdoor seating at both places, so be prepared to sacrifice the tips of your fingers to frostbite during the colder months.  Or, alternatively, order to go. - Learn how to order.  First, specify what cheese (cheese whiz - the classic!, American, or provolone) you want.  Second, specify whether or not you want onions. For example, "whiz with" translates into "cheesesteak with cheese whiz with onions".  At Pat's, tack on the toppings you want following your order. - Geno's & Pat's are probably tourist traps.  I definitely believe that there are better places in the city to get your cholesterol fix, but you got to try the classics at least once!
