I've been to clubs where I'm not so excited about the experience, but this one just SUCKS! this place deserves minus stars! the first time I was here was Halloween a couple of yrs ago. the music was good sometimes and other times weren't so good. it was super crowded. I left around 12:30ish. said byes to my friends. as I exited the side door, went around the corner to the front, I saw one of my friends I just said bye to. apparently, she just got kicked out. I know her since high school, we were always good girls. apparently the guy she was dancing with stepped on the sofa and she got kicked out by connection. wtf? right? she barely knew him and paid $45 for the ticket. me and my friends never got kicked out of anywhere EVER! I've been there a couple of times since and the place was never that great, but there's always alot of ppl. for my birthday, I came here on a party bus with my friends. our driver supposedly worked things out with the club, but when we got here, they wouldn't let us in. I had friends already in the club to meet up with, but the bouncer wouldn't even let me come down the bus. my friends inside said the place was empty, so we really didn't understand. we ended up driving away. horrible horrible experience. my friends who were inside tried to reason with the bouncer and nothing worked. the ppl there don't know how to run a business. they got something stuck up their ass. I'm never coming to this place again!

Like many of the other "legendary" Atlanta landmarks, The Varsity leaves you initially disappointed, when you realize the food is totally over-hyped, after you spent 30 minutes in line behind a group of 3000 screaming school kids, identical in their bright, identifiable t-shirts and paper Varsity hats. Then later, your disappointment escalates to sheer fury when the pounds of grease pulse through your system like ingestible Roto Rooter. Sorry, was that too graphic?!? It's food for kids and hungover frat boys - hence the grandeur of the place that's unfortunately passed down from one generation to another. Greasy, sloppy burgers, hotdogs and french fries. Even the orange creamsicle drink wasn't as tasty as it promises. One star for the paper hats and being kid friendly. Do yourself a favor and just skip the food...trust me, you'll thank me.

I used to visit the S.F. Saloon for after work drinks with my co-workers. It's been 7 years since my first visit, and I keep going back. Great Nachos. Best Burgers I've had yet. and Great Long Islands. Lot's of t.v.'s so it's a great place to catch games. Lots of tables so it's good for big groups. The wait can be a bit long at times. but it's well worth it.
