by rick w. on this place is legendary, first off I'd like to think that I'm the type that can appreciate the vulgar side of life. This place fits the bill, poorly lit, smokey, and filled with "seasoned professionals". I've met "blondie" and she was a complete sweetheart, and a great performer. This place may be skeezy but the experience is like none other. Its almost like being stuck in a scene from a John Waters movie. Now I'm not too sure who thats a complement for, John Waters or the Clermont. I plan on going back there on Karaoke night, and I will be taking my friends here whenever they stop into town. most things said about the Clermont Lounge are true, and thats the charming appeal that keep people coming back. this place has won a place in my filthy little heart forever.
by Catherina Gavagan on Excellent little bar/cafe. They have live music seemingly all the time and it's a perfect spot for intimate acoustic gigs. Kids are welcome, and the other day there were a bunch of those sweet little rugrats rockin' out with their parents. They serve food (every day except Sunday) and use real linens! Ya gotta love a 'dive bar' with linen and candles on the tables. Decent selection of brews, wines and full bar for the cocktail lover in you. Excellent bar staff rounds out the pluses at the Rite Spot!
