by Andrea L. on I came here for a shopping event after work and was sort of horrified by the place. Completely "eek, methinks not!" I admit I'm totally assuming that the drinks are usually made poorly, charged steeply, and that they play some pulsating remix of mainstream dance hits on repeat. But what grated me most was the borderline-claustrophobic labyrinth of narrow corridors and dirty, used, dingy-feeling rooms and upholstery. Honestly, on those rare occasions I go to a club, I want to be a bit wowed by the decor and feel like a million bucks. Touch made me feel more like I'd be touched, in a not-good way, by skeevy guys as they leer past you in the halls. It sucked for the event venue and probably would suck more for a night out. No thanks!
by Andrea B. on Awesome spot,very diverse crowd,everyone from yuppies to your underground hipsters.When I went it felt like i was warped back into Nyc .Everyone there was enjoying themselves and dancing freely.This is how every club in Atl should be like, instead of your do u know who am type of spot....
by Lacy Loynd on I never really figured out what britpop meant, but I did catch on pretty quick that the best danceparty in town is Britpop Wednesday at MJQ. The unique under-the-ground club gets packed around 12:30 and then the only way to get off the dancefloor is to carve a space out on the wall benches (yes benches). But you can't hide from the loud bumpin' music. There's two rooms, each very different, and the second plays it funky. You'll see some breakdancers here most likely. It's the kind of place where the ceiling leaks when it rains, they don't take credit cards, you don't order martinis, and nobody really cares.
