by Kerry C. on My husband and I went for our date night this weekend and loved it! The jazz was fantastic and we will definitely be back. The food was good, but not amazing. I had mussels with spicy mayo on top...they were pretty good, but I avoided the mayo, it was a weird combination for me. My husband had the chicken, which was good but not memorable. It was a little expensive - $30/per person cover + food to sit at a table - ouch! The food prices were pretty reasonable though I would recommend making reservations in advance it was really crowded when we were there, and I ended up sitting closer to the drummer than my husband. We will absolutely be back for the jazz, but I think next time we will sit at the bar and just order drinks. All in all, we loved this place and will bring friends with us next time.
by Dale Austad on I'm embarrassed to admit that I've even been to Rouge, but I decided to review it for the sake of warning others. I'm searching for the right words to describe the place... Tacky? Wannabe? High school-esque? Forget it, I feel like those adjectives aren't scathing enough. It's the crowd, I tell you. It's just awful.
