I have been coming to Rouge for about 9 months now. I live in the Russian Hill area and decided to hit up this place. $3 Margaritas are awesome! Chips from Nick's are $1.25. I will say that I have noticed a change here in recent months. There seems to be a new manager at the place, I think his name is Matt. Ever since this guy took over a couple months ago things have improved noticeably. Service and quality of drinks has improved. I used to notice when i would come here on the weekends 9 months ago that it would be tough to get a drink at the bar even though it was empty. Inattentive staff was sometimes frustrating. Once you would get your drink it would be a little weak. Causing me to go down the street to another place to continue the fun. This has all changed over the last several months. The level of service and professionalism has definitely gone up. I have gone from coming here once a week to coming here 3-4 times a week. I notice that the manager Matt can often be seen talking with the guests, making sure everything is good and asking where they wouuld like to see improvements. He seems to honestly be happy to be there and how many bar managers can you say that about? He even made his own version of Jeremiahs Weed Tea the other week that was awesome. Offering $3 drinks of that. Seems Rouge has now embarked on a new chapter , hiring a quality manager and offering new promotional beverages every Friday. Its pretty cool. For me the best thing is being able to order good food from Nicks Tacos and getting the cheap good drinks at Rouge. You would think for $3 the drinks would be watered down, but they are pretty strong. Their house Tequilla they use in the margaritas is actually pretty good. So if you are looking for the best inexpensive Margaritas in SF then you should consider Rouge! If you want somewhere to hang out and relax on the weekend this would be a good choice should you sit in one of the many comfortable booths located around the club. You can watch sports on the many flat screens located by the booths.

One of my favs. The space is absolutely gorgeous, and the food has always been great. Not always the healthiest, but I don't think that's what it's going after. Service has been pleasant, but not exceptional. The patio is fabulous in warmer weather. The market downstairs is absolutely charming, although I haven't eaten there yet. Down-home in a New South kind of way.

this was on a friday night. paying $20 for a club didn't feel good but i did have a good time. the decor inside is nice where they have a lot of vip areas which reminded me of a vegas club. the bar and dance floor is right when u walk in and the back is another bar where u can smoke which suprised me cuz you're like smoking indoors although their is the an opening on the roof for the air to go out. the dj was really good and was playing one good song after the other. the crowd was hip. there were less sleazy guys there from the ones i usually go to with ugly guys harassing you to dance. btw, there is a $25 minimum at the bar for using your card which bothered me cuz i only wanted 1 drink.
