by Daniel M. on Clubs have come a long way since Sound Factory to NV to Whisper to now, Infusion Lounge. This club is definitely the nicest in decor I've seen to date here in the City. The line was extremely long (as it wrapped around the corner during Memorial Day weekend), and there are a lot of dudes. And of course, when there are a lot of dudes, cramped quarters, and alcohol involved....it leads to fights. Saw a brawl inside right next to the bar pretty early in the night. Bouncers rushed them out immediately! Quick response time. Anyways, the drinks were a bit on the high end ($11 for a Goose/Tonic). Overall this place is just alright. I've had better times at Sound Factory up in the SkyLounge (shout out to Monty!!!!).... I think if I had to wait in that insane line, I would've downgraded this to one star....
by Kristin F. on It's a cool place to go if you've never been to an aquarium before, and the moving walkway through the surrounding tank is unique, as I understand. But I'd say the Shedd Aquarium is better and it seems to take a very short time to go through the Georgia Aquarium. It's perhaps overpriced as well.
by Naomi Tarver on The best thing about Tao is that huge Buddha in the back, but even that gets a little offensive after you think about it. This probably doesn't present any worries for the establishment because lunch hours continue to see a crowd. Damn you, Sex and the City! The service was slow and the pre fixe menu may seem like a good deal until you actually taste the food (plus, Chinese-American food is supposed to CHEAP. why am I paying $10 for spring rolls??) The peking duck spring roll is inedible. Since when did peking duck look like brown paste? The kung pao chicken is overly syrupy and sweet. I found myself gulping down the jasmine rice because that was the least overbearing item on my plate. The dessert - chocolate wontons - was slightly redeeming. In the end, it was a smart concept with poor execution. Amid the deep fried shells and vanilla ice cream, I could barely taste the chocolate. Tao is better off being just a bar with a faux-Asian theme. It'll still be tacky, but then no one judges alcohol by its authenticity.
