Review for the nightlife not the rest. What can I say? This place is just okay....First the reserved tables are at the very beginning as you walk in. Who wants to sit there when all the action is by the pool (not me!). Second their is no dance area, what if your hitting it off with someone and all she needs to know is if you can dance to seal the deal?? My point exactly! (not that I know how to dance anyway) But all in all the place is nice the decor is great and it is definitely trendy. You should at least see it once. Peace.

The scene here is definitely "asian" but not the fobby type... with that being said, i'm asian and used to party with a mixed asian crowd who all spoke english throughout my college years so i was cool with the crowd. (i am so not cool with some of the other asian nights out there where i hear girls screeching in all sorts of tounges) It was my first time here and i was just looking for a place to dance close to home. got there around 11, line(s!) were long, and entrance was 20 bucks.. not looking good... but just spoke to one of the promoters and he tottally hooked it up:: line jump right to the front and cover was free for me, and boyfriend in for ten. Yay! *BIG SMILES* been here a few times since then... and yes the promoters are still hooking it up so it's all good =) the main room is large and spacious. there's a huge dance area a stage and three bars. oh.. and hot gogo dancers! upstairs there's also a pretty lounge area, another dj, and another bar. the main dance floor was always full but never too crowded. music was good; i think the DJs kept taking turns at the turntables so i heard the same songs a couple times mixed in with different sets. one big plus, the smokers patio is RIGHT THERE! nice area to hang out with your drink and get some fresh(sorta) air. anyways, maybe it's the nostalgia of partying with friendly and goofy asians, and just actually have space to dance that made me love it. i only go to one bartender (my secret) who hooks it up and makes my drinks worth it. the crowd here is a good mix of tourists, smaller parties, and friendly guys =P seriously, i don't feel the pretentiousness here i've experienced at some other clubs (i'm referring mostly to other asian nights). i didn't notice it the first time i went, but there's a whole other room in the back corner which has it's own DJ, it's own bars and even has lots of places to sit (of course only if there's noone ordering bottle service). so far, this is my # 1 choice for a night of dancing.

Screw the Anchor (I used to love Anchor and then they screwed up my birthday--but you know who redeemed my birthday? Emerald! That's who!). Emerald Pub you are my hero. I drank. I danced. I sat on big cushy seats. I made out with a boy named Showtime who mows lawns for a living. (I have nothing against landscaping but with a nickname like Showtime, shouldn't you be in a rap video somewhere?) Clean bathrooms--even the men's room was clean (yes, I wound up in there when I had to pee). Fun music. Fun people. Nice bartenders who know their stuff. Nice bouncers who told me I didn't look my age and kept wishing me a happy birthday (most likely because I kept telling them it was my birthday every time I passed by them). Some locals and some passersby. Emerald rocked my birthday casbah. If I could, I'd marry it.
