If it had not been so hyped up I would have been a bit more wowed by the place. By all mean go. Its a great place to check out; great abiance and unique decor. A good dining experience. However, I thought the food was only good; not great and a bit overpriced. The staff was awesome. The hostess and the wait-staff

Wow now that I've turned 21, they announce that they are now allowing people 18+ to at least go in to bowl. That was what some of my friends wanted to do back then-- I wonder what had finally changed their minds... Sorry for the small rant up there. I love this place. It is completely enjoyable. I am definitely not good at bowling but I love seeing where the ball rolls when I bowl. I went here as a small celebration for my birthday and, though it was more expensive than what I am used to paying for bowling, It was not bad because it IS in Manhattan I will have to bring my mom here some time to take advantage of the Monday unlimited bowling! only thing is, even though there is a late-night menu... the kitchen closes at 1AM (at least the day we went) so after bowling, we went to find some food to eat~

Screw the Anchor (I used to love Anchor and then they screwed up my birthday--but you know who redeemed my birthday? Emerald! That's who!). Emerald Pub you are my hero. I drank. I danced. I sat on big cushy seats. I made out with a boy named Showtime who mows lawns for a living. (I have nothing against landscaping but with a nickname like Showtime, shouldn't you be in a rap video somewhere?) Clean bathrooms--even the men's room was clean (yes, I wound up in there when I had to pee). Fun music. Fun people. Nice bartenders who know their stuff. Nice bouncers who told me I didn't look my age and kept wishing me a happy birthday (most likely because I kept telling them it was my birthday every time I passed by them). Some locals and some passersby. Emerald rocked my birthday casbah. If I could, I'd marry it.
