by Austine C. on Dear Pod, I like your bathrooms and your crispy chicken seafood spring rolls, and how you were the backdrop for uniting a really good friend of mine together. Alas, I think this is a one night stand. First, let's talk about your sushi. I like my slab of fish cold and my rice warm and compressed. Yours? The fish and rice are both room temp and undecided. You should be ashamed that you have a faux conveyor belt...Japan would say, "No sake fo' you!" Secondly, your house salad is much too vinegar and no sesame seed oil. Don't you know that this is an essential ingredient for a typical salad? You really pay for the Starr decor and experience. Personally, I found it tawdry and a bit gimmicky. If you are in the mood for sushi, you may just want to find another escape pod.
by Lorriane Neverman on This is more of an impression from the entertainment Ibiza provides every Wed.night: live Flamenco music and dance performance. Simply irresistible - if you don't find yourself snapping your fingers, tapping your feet etc after a few minutes of listening to Eric and Vassily (they both play guitars and sing), then something is fundamentally wrong with your senses. The musicians are on fire through the entire evening and the dancer, Encarnacion, is a gem: a true Spanish beauty who dances like she breathes. Her technique is stunning and she makes each and every move seem so easy. She also picks up a guitar and sings a few numbers with the guys - they sing right into your heart, with genuine passion. Big thanks to Ibiza for hosting these wonderful performers. Ole Ole !!!
by patrick g. on Let's see. Rude, check. Two drink minimum, check. Thoroughly ordinary food, check. Did I forget anything? Dark basement room without a shred of charm? Check.
