by Charmaine Espitia on Interesting space, which reminded me of some bars in NYC. The fire place area is nice, but maybe a touch too hot. The drinks are different and actually really good. I have yet to try the food, but its a nice place to sit and chat without being annoyed by a large crowd or noise.
by Jenn D. on Sherlock's can get really crowded (and as a result, a bit unpleasant and a lot loud) on weekend nights, but most afternoons - even Saturday - this is a great place to hang out, have a few appetizers and super cheap draft beer with friends. Happy hour lasts until 9:00, even on the weekends (all day Sunday), and cheap drink specials abound. Sure, the patio overlooks the scenic Furniture Row shopping center and the 183 overpass, but where else can you can find $6 pitchers this part of town? If you're with interesting people (or if you're just drunk), does it matter that you're looking at the back of a bowling alley and an Olive Garden parking lot? Spend $6 more and you'll be fine. Also, I recommend trying the Scotch egg if you've never had one. A little weird, but tasty.
