There seems to be a taqueria on every corner these days.  And if you can't beat them, well, go ahead and try them.  At least they're wallet-friendly. My latest taco stand experience was Pure's Inman Park location.  With its brightly lit exterior and entrance filled with hungry diners, I was encouraged by its busy state. My group hit the bar first.  I had the Margarita Texas, and the Patron "floater" was a little heavier than its name implies.  Pretty good nonetheless.  The Mango Margarita was a hit with one of my dining companions. We were seated in the dining room, which was filled to an inch of fire code with tables.  The cafeteria-style seating took me back to junior high.  The noise level is pretty high, but if energy and people-watching are your thing, Pure's Friday night environment may fit the bill. Our table shared queso and guacamole for our appetizers.  The former was pretty good, with the fresh jalapeno on top adding some kick; the latter was a little more pureed than I would've hoped for when it comes to guac. For my entree I opted for the enchilada del dia, which was chicken- and cheese-filled with a delicious mole sauce (the chocolate gets me every time).  The side of frijoles charros seemed like a lighter choice than the refried, and indeed they were tasty.  A couple of my dining companions got the carne asada tacos, which didn't disappoint. What did disappoint, however, was the service--from start to finish.  A few examples: --Upon entry: [exasperated stare from the host, who was probably relieved that we bypassed her for a few moments in favor of the bar] --At bar:  Nary a smile from our bartender.  Plus, when we tried to settle up--combining all drinks onto one tab, which I would assume is easier--it was as if we asked for a recitation of the theory of relativity.  And let's just say Einstein wasn't happy with us. --At table:  Enter the Turn-and-Burner.  Never have I felt so rushed to order, eat and pay.  The friendliness oozed, too.  Example, us: "Do you have any specials?"  Turn-and-burner:  "Nope." [walks away] Bottom line: atmosphere--upbeat; food--on par with many of the other taquerias I've tried lately, with a gold star given to the mole sauce; service--a Debbie-downer in stark contrast to it all.

Well...I went here to meey two of my beautiful girls.  I didn't wait on line more than 2 minutes, which was good.  20 bucks before 12am?  What the hell? So the place turns out to be beautiful, CLEAN, well-ventilated.  Clean bathrooms. RUDE BARTENDERS AND BAD BAD BAD BAD drinks.  Just...wowo.  "Why I am I even paying" status.  Watered down everything.  Surprise surprise, I order a Heineken and they let me keep the bottle.  I was just waiting for some one to spark beef.  It would've been a quick green bottle groove. The music DOWNSTAIRS was by a talented female Asian DJ.  Don't know her name.  She was rockin it.  Sadly everyone drifted to the main room... Where DJ L was playing.  I know him reasonably well.  We did business once.  I don't care for him much.  He's a little conceited.  Although he went from being totally unable to mix, to now mixing proficiently at a club.  He sucks.  All his music sounded slow and sapped of it's energy.  HOW DO YOU PLAY 10 SECONDS OF FLIPSIDE, BUT LET WACK LIL JON play for the full 4 minutes.  Just not good music. Overall...I left at 1.30...way too early.  We were all bored.  We had a blast downstairs...only to be dragged upstairs and suffer from a wack DJ.

My overall feeling is: this is a cheap Park. On the outside, they have this neon "Park" sign where I thought I was walking into some random parking garage out on the West side. The inside is huge, and each area has a different feel to it. You've got the wooden dining area, the "outdoorsy" park area along with trees, and the upstairs dance floor/bar. Again, overall, the inside decor felt a bit cheap to me. There are lantern decorations hanging on the second floor ceiling. Also I was introduced to a tiny jacuzzi, which I heard opens up at times.  Like other reviewers have said, too much going on here and it just feels weird. No cover, so it is literally cheap (although the pricey, tiny drinks make up for that). I'm giving it a 4 nonetheless because I had a semi decent time. Music was okay. The female DJ that was doing the music that night did not mix up any songs, so it could have been much better. However, the crowds poured in and the dancefloor on the second floor was completely packed. People were having fun, I was having some fun, and I might even return!
