by Daya L. on Amazing Place!!!! The decor is off the hook.I didn't see one ugly bartender there. There's many places for you to sit and relax, even on a busy night. The drinks can be a little pricey, but you're also paying for the location. It's a HUGE place, so many levels to it. With the crowd it attracts, you're bound to meet someone any night. If you're looking for a place to wear your new fancy dress or expensive suit, this is the place to show it off! This is the heart of beautiful Los Angeles.
by Richeen A. on I live in Maryland and was visiting my little sister in Philadelphia when she took me here... The food was amazing! The service was EXCELLENT and they have the cutest doggy bags (black and brownish gold) that I have ever seen. I LOVE their idea of serving fresh watermelon slices (versus bread) as an opening dish. The super sweet tropical blend iced tea was a treat (and unique - they add a thin watermelon slice to your glass like a slice of lemon). Their down-home southern-style meals were VERY filling with their HUGE portions and just damn good taste. The perfect brunch spot after church. Although the actual dining area was a tad bit small - you will literally touch elbows with your neighbor - the decor made the stuffiness look cute, modern and chic. Overall this place was welcoming and warm. I felt like I had been dining there for years. My opinion to the owner of Tootsie's...bottle the ice tea! I wish I could buy their sweet tea in stores - it was THAT good!
by Nu Rappley on I went there on a Sat for the first and last time. You should get there before 10:15 pm if you don't want to wait in line for 30-40 min after 11 pm. It has really 2 main dance floors; main floor (top 40/hip-hop) and blue (techno/house room). The place gets really packed, so packed where you can barely move or dance so if you like rubbing up against your neighbors and like being grinded to a nub, then this place is for you. Its a mixed crowd, 30-35% asian, 20-25 % eastern european, 20-25 caucasion, 20-25% black. For so many people who go there, they don't give you a pat down which is kind of weird. Bouncers are doing there job by keeping the hallways clear so be prepared to be told to keep it moving. Be prepared to also get bumped and have some drinks spilled on you as the place gets crowded. The ladies looked good, but most ladies who go clubbing do. Crowd seemed a little bit seedy and I can see how fights can break out. You have drunk people standing around and folks trying to get by in a packed place. The sound system is amazing and so is their light show. The DJ mixed really good music. The dance floor is nice and dark for some dirty dancing. Cover is $15. PROs: good looking ladies, busy, sound & light system, good music (rap/hip-hop/R&B), big, CONs: too busy, overall crowd vibe, bums around the area (Pioneer Square really seedy) , bouncers won't protect you if you get into trouble
