I have been looking for a good house club in NYC and now my search is over. The music, the vibe, and the club decor was absolutely wonderful. I will definitely go back.

I really fancied my eve at Le Club. For a couple of reasons. I hosted a friend's bday here a few weeks back at her suggestion. "It's like being in the game Clue!" she exclaimed after calling me. Boy, was she right. The manager was kind enough to block off a side room for our guests (12 max) without charging us the supposed fee. The idea was that we'd be sharing it with another smaller party. Sweet. Well, they never showed. Even sweeter. The room was off to the left of the entrance and felt like a sitting room and had a piano. Very Professor Plum with the candlestick. My friend's boyfriend was able to jam some Billy Joel while not disturbing any Le Club patrons. Because the room was so off to the side. The service was great. She kinda buzzed in and out through out the evening but did not hound us to keep drinking. The drinks are VERY expensive--- that's my minus-one star. I need to come back and people watch. I didn't really explore the other rooms but I did spot so many interesting folk. From well-dressed elderly folk (probably locals from the other high rises on the block) to hot Euro chicks (Miss Peacocks) in minis and stillettos (I'd look like an ass if I'd dressed like them in a bar like that) to banker-salesy-types. Note: It's in a residential high rise so it's easy to miss (unless you're familiar with the neighborhood; I used to live a block away). The doorman to the building is very kind and will either call or hail you a cab personally.

I came here for a post-wedding celebration with some friends on a Saturday night. The place never really filled up at all and the space is all right... nothing particularly interesting about it. You could definitely smell the remnants of indian food throughout the restaurant turned club/lounge. Our group took over upstairs balcony and canopy area. The balcony area was good to have access to since you can stare down at the crowd (or lack therof) below you. The DJ is set up across from the balcony area and a belly dancer appeared half-way through the night moving her hips and balancing a tray of candles on her head... interesting... kinda. It was more interesting when my drunken buddies started mimicking her moves from our balcony and hooting and hollering at her. Yikes... good times though. Overall, the drinks were just all right and the music was a mixture of house, hip hop, and old rock n' roll songs.... kinda reminiscent of a high school dance. Regardless, this place was just OK in terms of the scene. This is definitely a place where you have a better time depending on the friends that you go with. If I was with just another friend, I probably would have preferred to goto Park, which is right next door.
