I had a really great time here with the bf. We discovered it on Rateclub and decided to check it out for ourselves since we've been in search of live music in the city at intimate joints. This place was exactly what we were looking for. We came in and sat at the bar (no reservations required) and since we just had dinner, we opted for a few of their specialty drinks, a BaCu Sour & Manhattan. Since it's difficult for us to sit in a restaurant without ordering food, we ordered the Truffled Kennebec Potatoes (basically french fries with truffle oil) and the Anchiote sauce (aioli) and everything hit the spot. The band started at 8pm and although I'm not quite sure who they were, they were amazing - with songs ranging from spanish and portuguese to french and english. The service was outstanding at the bar and the crowd is a bit older though very diverse. The downside... 1 BaCu Sour, Manhattan, 3 Glenlivets, a Buena Vista & Pimm's Cup later, the bill came out to $90. A bit pricey for only having a few drinks and fries. Next time I come back, I'll probably stay off the specialty drink menu and get a normal vodka tonic and just enjoy the music.

I don't own a phonograph nor do I use CDs very much anymore but Repo is a great place if you do either one of the aforementioned things and are looking for some hard-to-find, old, rare records or CDs. What's more, they support local indie musicians like myself and graciously allowed me to drop off some of my cards. Come in and check out the shop!

I can't tell you how many nights I have been here and my freiken boyfriend has stared at the easiest gal walking by. Its not like Im an 8, I just never seem to feel the same confidence in any of the men that I end up dating and then there I am, the pretty girl that gets drunk by herself and watches ^&^*face chatting up the boob job next door. Cool club though, but its ruined for me.
