We Stayed at the W Hotel, we thought let's have dinner at Drai's. Well if you like bad service, toe nails on the ground, gross stained cushions, a rocking table, chipped dishware and bad food. this is the place for you. oh yeah let's not forget the cigarette smoke in your face while you eat, because the waiter was flirting with the girls next to us and let them smoke. It got two stars only because of the amazing view of Downtown.

I've been to TempleSF multiple times and I've always had a good time. They have different rooms playing different types of music. The basement plays HipHop, which usually gets crowded and REALLY HOT/no air. The up-stairs plays house music. They have at least 4 different bars to get alcoholic drinks and THEY EVEN HAVE A GUY SELLING HOT DOGS RIGHT IN FRONT of the smoking area section. That's pretty legit! The decor in the place is pretty beautiful. I had my birthday here and had THEE BEST TIME with my friends :) The line is pretty ridiculous to get into the place but if you remember to put yourself in the guest list and come before 11pm, it shouldn't be too much of a hassle to get in. I remember one time my girlfriends and I forgot to put ourselves in the guest list and we talked to one of the promoters for Temple about the unfortunate situation... and he let us go in for free.

I creatively planned my flight from Phoenix to Aruba so that I had a layover in Atlanta... and not just a few hour layover; I had an entire night in Atlanta! My Phoenix flight arrived around 5:45, and my Atlanta-Aruba flight didn't leave until the next morning, so what did I do? I called my girlfriends to have a girls' night out! And where did we go? Genki! Recently renovated and re-opened, Genki is still a happening Buckhead hot spot. I've spent many a night at Genki over the past 10 years or so (I lived in ATL for eight years before moving to PHX). During my visits, I've eaten plenty of sushi, specialty noodle and rice bowls, and edamame... and I've had my fair share of wine as well. Genki is an oldie but a goodie... an old standby if you must. Perfect for girls night, dates, or even sitting solo at the bar. I was happy to see that the menu hadn't changed much. On my recent visit, I started with a glass of "La Crema" pinot noir as did one of my friends... the other had a glass of pinot grigio. Two of us at bowls and one went for sushi. I chose the seafood bowl with brown rice, and while I requested extra veggies, I don't know that they honored my request. I was happy nonetheless... the food is not amazing, but it's above average, especially if you enjoy Asian flavors. Depending on how much you drink, it can get pricey, but the food is moderately priced... my bowl was $15.95 I think, add a $12 glass of wine or two, tax, tip, and it's easily a $40 meal. Add valet parking + tip, and you're at $50 easily. Even so, it's worth it. For me, Genki will always hold a special place in my heart. I hope it stays around for a long time to come.
