its a shame after 4 years of attending Monday Night Social, I will not be returning. Since their venue change, from Nacional to Playhouse, the crowd is not the the same music-loving crowd that the old MNS used to bring in. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Last night was the last straw. My gay friend was tormented by a douchebag in VIP. This guy threw ice at him, poured two drinks on his head, tried to rip off his glasses and told him to "button up his shirt", all because we were dancing NEAR his VIP area. When I tried to alert security to what happened, we were told to move along...that this area was considered VIP, even though we were OUTSIDE the railing...you know...the club part of the club...duh. I went to the head of security at Playhouse to see if was anything that could be done. No one should be allowed to throw ice and drinks on ANYONE, independent of their sexual orientation...I can't help but wonder, if the douchebag did the same things to me (a female), would Playhouse security have reacted differently?? Needless to say, the head of security radioed all his chumps to the front area and I waited 15 mins for them to figure out how to deal with the issue and they NEVER came back. I asked another security guard if he could radio the head of security to see what was taking so long and he told me that I could "go outside and see for myself". Sure, buddy...if I go outside, they don't have to let me back in. I'm not stupid! Gay-bashing is a hate crime and hate crimes are illegal. Don't support places like Playhouse who allow high paying "VIP" customers to humiliate and torment innocent people because of who they are. Shame on you Playhouse. SHAME ON YOU. Never, ever, going back.

You know what it was , I had not been to this venue in about 6 years but I did see B.O.B at S.O.B's (almost a play on words) The stage area seemed really small though, mad cramped from where I was standing you know but that was still near the front. I think B.O.B did a good job keeping the crowd into it. Everyone pretty much just knew him from that one song but he did some nice other joints too. I would definitely go back here. 5 stars

I thought this place looked really "pretty" inside. I liked the lighting and decor and stuff. But other than that I wasn't too impressed. I don't remember particularly caring for the DJ or anything like that. Red is my favorite color though, so I'm glad I can say now that I've been there. But I don't think i would intentionally go back.
