I am going to agree with all the other people stating that this is a huge asian club because it seriously is. If you do not have a thing for asians or are not asian yourself, you might find yourself feeling a little uncomfortable This was the FIRST LA club experience for me and it was pretty sweet! The music was good and crowd was Asian (as expected). The drinks were alright, nothing fancy, but I was able to hustle a drink from the bartender as he already gave me the drink I ordered and when I was trying to pay him, he looked at me and asked what I wanted to drink so i asked for water hahaha. damn im good anyways, i came on a special night because there was a pasties showing or something. Import models came out on stage and showed off their tig ole fake bitties that were covered by pasties. The night was good, as I do not remember some of it, except for the fact that there is a food cart outside that sells bacon wrapped hotdogs that has to be the smartest person ever, to sell that food outside the club. they are probably rich check this place out if you are 1. Asian 2. Find Asians attractive 3. Don't mind being around HELLA Asians

When I found out that Bobby Flay opened a burger place in Philly I was excited. When I found out I was going to Philly on business I got even more excited because I could have it on my company's dime. But after going I would go on my own dime time and time again if I only did not live 2 and a half hours away. I had the Miami burger which is like a Cuban sandwich burger. I love a good Cuban sandwich so I was intrigued to have it as kind of a burger. Since I do not eat beef I got it as a turkey burger. I also got an order of fries and a frozen cactus pear margarita. Everything was soooooo good. The burger was moist not even a bit dry like some turkey burgers can be. The fries were crisp with just the right amount of salt and the fry sauce was amazing. A little kick but not overwhelming. The margarita was tasty as well. Stronger than I though it would be. My co-worker had the L.A. burger, fries, and the mocha Kahlua vodka shake. She liked them all as well except hers took a lot longer to come out than mine so I watched her eat most of her meal. Besides the wait for her burger I have no complaints. I really hope Bobby keeps moving south and opens a Burger Palace in DC or even Baltimore.

I attended Soul Night at Lo Fi and it was absolutely awesome -- great crowd of folks, great tunes, everyone dancing and not caring if they were dancing well ... just shaking and sweating it out and having a great time. No pretense, just lots of good midcentury soul and swaying bodies. Five stars for soul night. The space is great (front bar, long hallway, dance floor with back bar and a rickety little mezzanine for people watching) and I love the exposed brick walls with the huge picture window overlooking the space needle. Five stars for the space. That said, the night I was there, the bartender at the front bar was being a huge drama queen and pretty much ruined my night. I don't know if dude was having issues with his bar-back or was just a guy with some anger management issues, but as I waited for HALF AN HOUR to get two diet-cokes, I watched him throw down drinks, swear constantly under his breath with every order, slam doors, sigh histrionically and generally make a HUGE SHOW about just how frustrated he was by everyone and everything. Again, maybe the guy was having a rough night. Maybe there was major bar drama or something. But dude's theatrics were so over the top that he made the wait for drinks take twice as long, and my patience for him ran out when I saw someone give him a fat tip and say "you look like you need it" ... and the bartender said thanks and then went right back to being an overly dramatic asshole about every single drink he had to make. I realize that surly bartenders can be part of the charm of a dive bar, but this guy took surly to a new "in need of some anger management" level, and Lo Fi ain't no dive bar. Soul Night is a friendly, upbeat, AWESOME club night, and the half hour I spent watching this bartender treat people poorly and generally act like a pissy teenager came close to spoiling the whole night for me. Bartender: NO STARS FOR YOU.
