by Allison A. on I had a great time and a few too many drinks. I got in free, which isn't too hard with the number of promoters trying to get you to party. Bar tenders were suprisingly nice, we got free shots (prob due to the tips). Vip gets crowded. I went on a Thursday, with special guest ... Pleasure P (not that special) but he brought in a reasonable crowd.

I was told how horrible the sound is, etc etc. I decided to go because it was a band I haven't seen in 3 years (Glassjaw) and I HAD to go, no matter what NYC venue it was at. Webster Hall was just amazing. The size, the sound was totally on point. The layout of the place is just a bit weird for me, going up and down stairs like crazy. The decoration is very nice, the size of the place reminds me of Irving Plaza + Roseland + Bowery Ballroom. I believe it'll be Bowery's answer to Irving Plaza based on location. Webster seems to get really good shows too. Based on this 1 concert I've been to, Webster Hall was just a surprise for one of the best concerts I went to in 2006. I hope to be there again. PS: In the guys bathroom, the urinals have ICE! That's awesome!
by Mike V. on This is another place I just love to go to. The drinks are good, the crowd is usually my kinda crowd (mixed ethnicities with lots of hip-hop influences), and lots of space to dance. My biggest problem with this place is probably the fact that on most occasions, there is TOO MANY people there which makes bathroom lines, bar lines, and walking almost too frustrating to tolerate. But hey, the ladies are lovely so you'll find me here, especially if I'm promoting the party myself. LOL!
