by Mariposa X. on I don't usually think about club design, acoustics and lighting but Cielo had me impressed. These elements really added to the whole experience. Also, the size of the place is perfect...not too big or too small. And the way it's laid out, you can sort of see everyone who's there. I love that. I'll go back.
by Andra Wittnebel on I would have to say that this is the best venue that I have attended in San Francisco, possibly anywhere. It holds roughly 600, the sound is excellent, and all of the staff members are generally pleasant. It seems as if the GAMH really take care of their employees, quite well. You can usually find a gaggle of them hanging out after the shows being social and just winding down the day. Seeing Neurosis there earlier this year was a dream come true. DO IT!
