Ok steaks. Better than Pat's I feel. Nothing to brag about. Food does not have that fresh taste that other steaks have. Steaks are on the small side. Don't get the fries cuz the cooking oil leaves an awful taste in your mouth. Not saying its terrible, but it's not worth all the publicity. Many better spots.

There are days so cold and dreary, you can't help but feel sad. (Crowd was decent that night. I heard it's usually otherwise.) But there's always hope glowing beyond the wish of sunlight. (A dancing granny was schooling all the younguns.) An illogical belief that some love will break through eventually. (Didn't try the food, but my double Jack was a sad $12.) And when it does, it's ever more miraculous. (Service I received was quick and friendly.) Add stunning city views beneath grandiose clusters of light, and you can't help but change your mood. (And I was with some pretty cool friends...) Glorious. UPDATE: Douchebags were literally being bussed in from God knows where... falling on the street with their limeless Coronas in hand. Also, it's expensive...

For those who like to Groove...let me first say, the underground club experience has been back in NYC for the past three years. I've been lucky enough in my job to travel to NYC about 4-times a month for the past three years...actually folks thought I lived there. Anyway, in my travels the number 1 Club during the week to go to is Cielo. Monday nights for Deep Space and Wednesdays for Roots. Deep Space Mondays: First you have to understand that Francios K has been remixing music since the 70s disco era...yeah!!! And if you were lucky you a few years back, you could have caught his Bossamundo nights with Ron Trent. Now you have Deep Space, which is a collection of all the folks who love to dance to anything from Trance, Dub, Drum-and-Bass, Funk, etc..mixed live by Francios K. Not mention the various artists and guest DJs that spin with him on occasion. One of the hottest Monday nights in Nyc. Roots Wednesdays Kevin Hedge and Louie Vega spinning on a Wednesday and the cover is like $10. You would think I was lying and selling you the Brooklyn Bridge. But it's true, the best sound and dancers during the week is Wednesdays at Cielo. The crowd is anyone to a sexy starlet or a Shelter head...gotta love it. My only wish is that Chicago brought it back the way New York is doing right now on a Monday or Wednesday...nothing I've seen to date can touch either of these nights. You don't believe me, go find out yourself...you'll be thanking me. dj pauly
