We stopped by Fado after a birthday dinner to have a few drinks. It was a Saturday night and already crowded, so we headed to the to floor to see if we could find a spot. We couldn't, so we ended up standing at the bar. That wasn't so bad, but I guess Fado is just not really my scene. It was a bit boring watching the homogeneous group of twenty-somethings flit and yap and flirt all night. There was a basketball game on that no one was watching, and the bartenders seemed busy yet bored. Fado's location was convenient, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back.

I love the whole K-Town crappy-elevator-leads-to-paradise theme going on. This place left me a little less starstruck than Maru, but I appreciated the difference and change of pace. The place is spacious, with nice tables and couches and all the things that a lounge should have. The lighting concept was very warm and comfortable, and I spied a few corners for two to do dark deeds *puts pinky to lips*. The table service was good and courteous, and I would gladly give this place 5 stars, but it was just light enough in the room for me to see the somewhat exorbitant prices for appetizers and drinks. However, we got a carafe of lychee soju (or two) which came with a huge fruit plate included, and that was a great deal. I'll surely come back again, a fact which should make a very happy Javier. Don't worry, I was just bustin your chops a little there. You never steer me (completely) wrong!

I went bowling here last night with my boyfriend and another couple and had a GREAT time!!! It really is amazing how you can do anything in this city... how random is it see a building that you never would think inside is a huge bowling alley. The bouncers are dumb indeed and do seem to take their job a tad too seriously but they weren't complete assholes they just checked our id's and let us in... also there was no wait (I went on a Thursday - I would probably never go on a weekend)... And you only had to give 1 shoe to get your bowling shoes... The waitress staff was very attentive with drinks! I thought it was clean and I thought the balls were fine! Perhaps I'm not exactly a bowling expert but it did indeed provide a great night out. One negative was we got sandwiched between a couple on each side of us that looked like kids from NYU that just came to the 'big city' and were making out and slobbering all over each other. Anyway I would highly recommend going for a night out with friends!! I know I will go back.
