by Buddy Taublee on Didn't know it was a gay bar (not that it matters, but for information purposes I guess I'll put up a modification on the "categories" tab), we stopped in here after seeing Transformers a MONTH EARLY oh man I was GIDDY. Ok enough of that. The bar itself is kind of cool, they decided that like every other bar, playing amy winehouse is automatic points in the book. The bar is kind of tiled, with backlit liquor shelves and mirrors and exposed brick and such. There's a single centered pool table in the back, an open bathroom downstairs (there's no door or anything, it's just there, which is probably why my friend Dave thought the bar smelled a little funky). Very dead of course because it was a monday, but it was 3 dollar Bud night, so a pleasant enough place to get a cheap beer before moving on.
by Macelle G. on In the LA world of hip hop, it's such a relief to come to a place like this and dance to good electronica music all night long. And I'm not talking about dizzy trance music. I'm talking about good old techno and house music. Music that makes my feet happy and dance alllllll night long without realizing that the bar is yellin "last call, last call for alcohol." I love it here.
