by margs k. on After waiting in line, there is a $20 cover and of course, I don't have any cash on me. And they don't have an ATM. I am about to be PISSED when the woman manning the desk kindly swipes my card and let's me in. Inside, the place is nice, but there is only one small bench for people that want to sit, but don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on table service. Lame, Cielo, lame! Especially since most of those tables remained empty much of the night. As others have said, it's small but enough room to dance and there is a disco ball, which is worth one star right there. The crowd isn't bad looking, but clearly this place is past its heyday. Overall, fun time, if you don't mind paying the cover.
by Ewa Raquel on Didn't know it was a gay bar (not that it matters, but for information purposes I guess I'll put up a modification on the "categories" tab), we stopped in here after seeing Transformers a MONTH EARLY oh man I was GIDDY. Ok enough of that. The bar itself is kind of cool, they decided that like every other bar, playing amy winehouse is automatic points in the book. The bar is kind of tiled, with backlit liquor shelves and mirrors and exposed brick and such. There's a single centered pool table in the back, an open bathroom downstairs (there's no door or anything, it's just there, which is probably why my friend Dave thought the bar smelled a little funky). Very dead of course because it was a monday, but it was 3 dollar Bud night, so a pleasant enough place to get a cheap beer before moving on.
by michelle i. on so this was the last bar (or i think its actually a club) that i hit on my boston trip..... my awesome colleague tom is a local and thought we should get in some inebriated dancing to round out the night. the loungey space was underground and dark. the crowd here was "interesting" and the DJ was so-so... but since i was with the BEST party group ever and we took over the place and had a blast. in my own customary fashion, i snagged a hot guy on the dance floor and my colleagues and i went to his house for a very wacky after-party till 6am. what a grand time in beantown.
