I had such high expectations, but I found that there were equally as many hits as misses. I tasted the following: - Rock Shrimp Tempura - Tuna Pizza - Kobe Beef Carpaccio - Duck, Duck, Duck - Miso Honeycake - Beer Flight Sadly, I had "orderer's remorse" - what is "orderer's remorse"? That's when you taste what somebody else ordered and you want to take your plate and throw it against the fall like its garbage (like The Odd Couple scene): http://www.youtube.com... I tasted the Tuna Pizza (great) and the Rock Shrimp Tempura (addictive like Pringles - once you pop, you can't stop). I, however, ordered the Kobe Beef Carpaccio and Duck, Duck, Duck and wasn't impressed. The kobe had a nice glaze, but it didn't justify the cost. The duck came medium-rare with a bowl of rice, duck yolk, and minced duck pieces (I just didn't love the medium-rare duck texture and there was no "wow" factor in the rice). The dessert was fun to order (who wouldn't want to say "Miso Honey" with a straight face), but it was blah as well.

Live music, outdoor seating, decent service, good drinks, and tasty food. Ended up here when the original spot we planned on was unexpectedly closed (websites need to be updated...). Glad that we ended up here, the experience was a good one, walked away full and smiling. Tried the slow roasted pork - which, unless you plan on eating a hell of a lot of meat, should probably be shared. Also tried the ceviche, which had clams and shrimp, though I was expecting some other seafood, it was still good. Prices are reasonable considering the amount of food you get.

For those who like to Groove...let me first say, the underground club experience has been back in NYC for the past three years. I've been lucky enough in my job to travel to NYC about 4-times a month for the past three years...actually folks thought I lived there. Anyway, in my travels the number 1 Club during the week to go to is Cielo. Monday nights for Deep Space and Wednesdays for Roots. Deep Space Mondays: First you have to understand that Francios K has been remixing music since the 70s disco era...yeah!!! And if you were lucky you a few years back, you could have caught his Bossamundo nights with Ron Trent. Now you have Deep Space, which is a collection of all the folks who love to dance to anything from Trance, Dub, Drum-and-Bass, Funk, etc..mixed live by Francios K. Not mention the various artists and guest DJs that spin with him on occasion. One of the hottest Monday nights in Nyc. Roots Wednesdays Kevin Hedge and Louie Vega spinning on a Wednesday and the cover is like $10. You would think I was lying and selling you the Brooklyn Bridge. But it's true, the best sound and dancers during the week is Wednesdays at Cielo. The crowd is anyone to a sexy starlet or a Shelter head...gotta love it. My only wish is that Chicago brought it back the way New York is doing right now on a Monday or Wednesday...nothing I've seen to date can touch either of these nights. You don't believe me, go find out yourself...you'll be thanking me. dj pauly
