by Elizabeth H. on Having some serious cravings for Japanese ramen, and with very little options in Philly, my friend told me that Morimoto had a selection of ramen noodles for their lunch menu. I got the pork belly ramen with a soft shell crab roll as an appetizer. Overall, the ramen was decent (3 stars). It definitely hit the spot during this cold weather. Having tried different ramen daily during my 10-day trip to Japan, I will admit, I may be hard to please. The broth was on the bland side and the pork belly should have been cooked a little longer because it was little too fatty. The soft egg was probably the best part of the ramen dish. That being said, the soft shell crab roll was delicious... probably one of the best I've had in a long time. Definitely come here for the sushi, and I'll definitely be back for that again.
by Leang E. on We had our drinks outside and it was pretty decent once you stir the margaritas up. They have over 20 different flavors, and I had the coconut which tasted like Pina Colada which was very good. Do not I repeat, do not order the Ugly Cactus because it is one ugly drink. I don't even know how my other friend finished this drink that another friend ordered. We finished our drink and went downstairs and made our way onto the dance floor. I really like this club and the music. I like how intimate the place felt. I didn't feel like I was amongst a crowd of people. There was a good mixed crowd.
by Antonia Czap on Just saw World/Inferno here last weekend, I was impressed with the amount of space, its very simple, large 3 sided bar on one side, large dance floor on other. The acoustics for the show were terrible though, different spots sounded muddled I felt. Downstairs is a nice departure, its just a dark laid back bar. The female staff was attractive, and the set of bouncers were thoroughly I'm-not-going-to-take-any-shit.
