Drinks are pretty steep on prices but ur paying for atmosphere. I came here to avoid the lines at all the little quaint brunch spots around town that serves awesome french toast but makes you wait on line over an hour like Sam's Morning Glory..... And just as i thought, the Continental was empty for Brunch. And it was a great experience. I went with the Tofu skillet. It's soft tofu in a light curry sauce mixed with zucchini and some other veggies. Small slices of pita surrounds the bowl and the portions are big enough for a large dude. I thought it was just delicious and exactly what i was looking for. Ordered some Turkey sausage on the side but will pass on those in the future. The sausage skin became chewy in my mouth and the taste was awkward and dry. My mate had the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. Very good and no fishy taste to the salmon. Sides of potatoes were a good compliment. The service was great and the coffee cups were always topped. It was such a pleasant surprise and I would definitely consider coming back to try other offerings on the menu.
by Francesca T. on i dunno about this place... i came here on a friday night with some friends. got in for free and got an all access band (the hip hop floor was closed off for a private party) since a friend of a friend was DJing... i usually have something nice to say about places that i get in for free... the venue itself is interesting to say the least. it's big, but too spread out? the main floor was playing trance and looked really cool with the lightshow going on. the hip hop room was even nicer with seating to get comfy in. but whats with the long staircase to the outdoor area to smoke? it was either that or a small jail cell looking room (iron bars on the windows and wooden benches). lack of convenience to smokers aside, the bar is where this place got baaaaaad. $40 minimum to charge? i bought two LA waters, an Absolut and pineapple and a redbull and vodka ($50-ish)so i didn't have to leave my card with the shady bartender... why did my two LA waters come out clear? umm hello?? we are in LosAngeles so shouldn't you know how to make this drink? anyways, i dunno. the drinks were bad in every way; overpriced, totally mixed wrong, and served to me in a plastic cup. not even a decent solo cup.. the cheap thin as paper kind. arrgggh.... the crowd was all sausages and the main dance floor was pretty much empty until 1230 when i gave up on this place and moved on. i don't think i was ever so disappointed with a club! seems like saturdays might be a better time to come...
by Janna Sorensen on Thank you for being so good. I actually have been here before, but I don't remember it being as good as it was the other night. Of course in the past I might have just been drinking margaritas. Regardless, this time...so good. First of all, Monday- 2 for 1 margarita night. Can't beat that. Second, the guac...SO GOOD, and so are the salsas. Third, I had the spinach ahd queso enchiladas and they were to die for. You know, it is nice to go to a Mexican restaurant and be able to get vegetarian style food that is not just a cheese quesadilla. Very good.
