I used to love this place. Took some friends from out of town here. It's packed with tourists now, which is cool with me. Food is still very good and the ambiance is fun. Overall, in my opinion, it still offers a positive experience.

Waited in line at some "other club" for over an hour. With my anger rising at the pretentious snotty girl with a clip board and ear piece working the door and my buzz slowly fading away, I convinced my friend that there would be no line at King King, that it would be cheap to get in, that the music would be phenomenal, and the crowd would be super chill. And I was 100% right. We walked right in. A perfect amount of people there, enough room to walk around and have room to dance. The music there was awesome. Really legit house. At one point the DJ spun the song "Hey Mr. DJ" ( http://www.youtube.com...), at first to a house beat, then slowed it down to the normal speed. I've never seen an entire night club singing in unison. "On and on and on and ooooooon" It was awesome. It's a little dark in there but the red lighting inside makes it really easy on the eyes. No fear of seizures with light effects in this place. The Bartenders are great and quick to the trigger so you won't ever wait too long for a drink. (TIP - Go the the tall Brunette bartender on the bar on the right side for drinks. She's hot, cool, and makes a stiff drink.) If you ever find yourself in Hollywood stuck in a line at another spot, don't hesitate to venture off to King King. You'll find good music, good crowd, good drinks, and no girl working the door with a clipboard and ear piece.

I will never - everrrr go back here. The C U Next Tuesday waitress told me that we couldn't sit at her table - even though I wanted to order food BECAUSE we didn't order drinks from her (we had ordered them from the bar.) WTF!!? So we took our drinks and moved - not like I wanted her to bring us food after that. We moved seats and the ONLY saving grace was a magician. YES, a magician, which is why I'm giving 2 stars, he came by our table, cracked some jokes, did a few card and coin tricks and kept me from ringing the waitress who booted us from her section. We finished the drinks and left.
