by Marcie T. on I want to give this place two stars but I went here a while back for the Hennessy Black party and I swear...I was in love.... Went to Manor West last night....now I'm not so in love... - $20 cover for the guys (us girls got in for free though) - Didn't have Priv for bottle service.....only regular henny.. - Music wasn't for me...too much house/trance whatever they call it I think it's a nice venue...maybe I will come back depending on who's the promoter that night...but for now this place is called Manor WACK in my heart.
by Cynthia C. on Ok, i took my take on a Sunday nite (weekend of MLK) My friend (the bday girl) said to get there by 9:30-10 to ensure we get in free before 10:30. So i got there w/ my date around 9:50. there were only 10 people in front of us and they hadn't opend the club. So i'm thinking they'll open at 10 to let people go in free before 10:30, right? WRONG. Around 10:20 a girl starts coming down the line asking if we're on the guest list and hands out tickets only to the ladies. Now the line has started to get long (around 50 people) and the ticket girl only handed out a few tickets behind me. (there were lots of females in line b4 10;30) anyway, they start letting people in, my date had to pay $20 (blah). it was nice inside, fully decorated and upscale. i had to grab a drink (vodka and cranberry @ $12) yikes. BUT it was really strong! fine i guess it's worth it. i had a shot and i was good all nite! this club has a lot of seating area then your typical club, but the venue is small. dance floor is even smaller. luckily we were able to snatch a table (without bottle service) and had a lil area for us to dance all nite. unfortuantely, the bday girl's bf wanted the dj do to a shout out..guess what? for $100!!! ha! we just wished her a happy bday our selves. I gave 4 stars cuz i enjoyed myself, (it was an african american nite, so i did enjoy hip-hop, crunk music, etc) but my date and i were probably the only latinos there. parking was convenient, around the corner there are two parking choices- parking lot was going for $10 and the garage $8. this isn't a 5 star club 4 me, cuz there's the usual politics of hollywood clubs to get in, small place, and people were smoking weed everywhere. if we didn't score a table, i would have said it was too crowded.
by Scarlett Strege on Just look at the reviews here. Out of 58 reviews Morimoto's averaged a 4.5 stars. I don't think I have much to say that other people haven't already said... The food and cocktails here were amazing! Their wines and sakes were marked up quite a bit relative to other restaurants, but the food was relatively inexpensive.
