I've been here a few times now. This place seems to be tucked away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. It had the best sound system in the City, but they changed the system, and it's not the same, as my BF says, who is an Audio fanatic hehe. :D Venue is a good size; drinks are strong and cheap, as you get the drinks pretty fast. They have a little room where they play a different type of music.

When I walked into the Pussycat Lounge at Bruno's and I saw the stripper poles, I knew this was going to be the perfect space to hold my 30th birthday party. As soon as I noticed the black leather couches, beautiful chandeliers, and red accent lighting, I knew that this room would make me feel sexy as I turned one year older. When the event planner told me I could supply my own DJ, and I have a DJ (Big Dolla Bill) that I use at all of our parties, I knew I was in business. But when I was told to create a guest list, I knew I was up for a challenge. 80 people she said would fit comfortably into the room...that was max she told me. So when I sent my already overflowing list to her, I started to stress out. I didn't take into account that a few that said yes wouldn't come, and I also didn't know that you could still get in if you weren't on the list. I wish she had told me that there was a cover, and in reality, if people weren't on the list, they could still pay and get in. I wish I had thought it out better. I wish I hadn't hurt feelings, and had to have people leave because I forgot their names on my list. I did the best I could with what I had, and the birthday girl shouldn't stress out at her own party...but in reality, that's what happened. There was a minimum bar tab I had to hit, and that added yet another stress to me. If I had over booked, it wouldn't have been a problem. I had never even been to Bruno's before, and there was so much I wasn't told. I know that the staff tried their best, always checking up on me, and providing me security to bounce people that weren't party of my party. I got bounce happy at the early part of the evening, and tried to bounce the owner of the bar! I didn't know! He was just standing there with a drink, and I didn't know him! After that I just let security do their job. So now I'm telling you all of this, because it is a great room to have a party. Seriously...watching grown men on a stripper pole is quite funny...especially when they show you their crotch bruises. I even got a strip tease from a Ratecluber who shall remain nameless. I don't know about the downstairs. I wouldn't necessarily pay a cover to go to a bar. There was music in a really dimly lit space, but no real dance floor, and I didn't see the need to charge people $10 just to come in and drink. But I'm not reviewing that space....I had nothing to do with it. Pussycat Lounge = sexy. After all was said and done, I had a great time. Next year...will someone else PLEASE do the planning?
