Not a novel idea for a resto in SF or any big city for that matter. You will get a better show at Asia SF, Teatro Zinzanni or even Mamma Mia @ the Pier. Probably even better food! We went for DAT which offered 3 courses stretched out in a 3 hour time span for $35. Tax, tip & a drink included, it came to $70/pp. 2 floors, stark white, beds and doggie bowls to eat on/in, performers dressed in drag, and food created on what looked like an assembly line. Service and staff were very nice - they offered massages for $20 and even had a resident sexologist! Fun crowd of people who latched on to our conga line as we danced to Gloria Estefan's song! Go w/o high expectations, go w/a group, and go if you can afford to spend $$$$. We definitely had a good time but it's one of those places you should try when all other options have been exhausted.

OK, the Georgia Aquarium was cool, it really was...but it would have been a whole lot cooler if I was 5. That basically sums up my experience at the Georgia Aquarium, the Beluga whales are pretty cool, but the most awesome part is this gigantic tank that has a ton of fish in it with a glass tunnel running under it. That means you can look up through the water without having to hold your breath as huge small, and colorful fish swim around you from every direction. And then this huge shadow lurks out from your periphery and there it is... the behemoth whale shark doing its thing; being gargantuan at the top of the tank. The glass tunnel and the monstrous tank were my favorite parts, otherwise it is a glorified Discovery Place with some really tacky corporate sponsors attached to the titles of all the main areas. i don't know, it was just something about seeing Home Depot orange and white logos hanging at the entrance to the sections that took away from the authenticity and scientific feel of the whole visit. I mean how can they expect you to be filled with a sense of awe while viewing the magnificence of nature, if upon entry you are reminded that these particular wonders are brought to you by the Home depot, or UPS or any of the numerous title sponsors. I felt that the sponsors are a tasteless addition that actually distract from the experience, and well, honestly I left feeling not a little disillusioned "E' Tu Georgia Aquarium?" Is no place safe from the lure of advertising dollars?

This place is SOOO f'ing fun. I went here for my sister's bday (for the second time since I've lived here) and it's a place I think everyone needs to go. The women of AsiaSF are all so beautiful and the entertainment is a blast. I also was pretty impressed w/ the food, even though that wasn't supose to be it's highlight. There is dancing downstairs and the drinks are named after the dancers. A good time for a huge party or if you just want a night out w/ a big group. Only bummer is that you have to pay a flat fee...sometimes I wish I could just go in w/ a few people without paying so much.
