by Isabel J. on The food is okay but their appetizers are much better. They have really good crab cakes which you can get on their own or to top a salad. Brunch wasn't bad either and at a good price. Your best deal will probably be Thursday nights from 11-1am where you pay $20 and you get an open bar.
by Alice Mccormik on I recently moved into an apartment near Vertigo, where the former flatmate used to go to every Tuesday night. I never quite understood why until I went with her one Tuesday... One reason - Kenny the barman. Besides Kenny (he earn 3 stars out of the total) - the drinks are fairly reasonable, music is OK (predictable pop) and crowd is generally friendly. Agreed with some previous comments that even though its so close to R Bar, the two bar's patrons are nothing alike. I have never seen Vertigo as a meat market, even on weekends, as one previous reviewer mentioned - its just the good, reliable bar down the road from home where I can boogie on down, get a few drinks and be with friendly, interesting people. It is a little dive bar like, a little club like... nothing makes you go 'oh wow' but hey, its definitely no pressure fun. See you there Tuesday :)
by Paige W. on Bootie - - - Love the music, love the energy... Love the diversity... Its not very often that you can get a that many people in one room from so many different background... This place rocks the house... The bar staff pours generously and we always come home with a big smile on our face!
