by Analisa Waibel on For our first night in Atlanta, Dr. D took us to South City for some southern food. South City did not disappoint. The five of us ordered a whole lot of food. Yes, a lot of it was fried, but it was all delicious. Buttermilk fried chicken, crispy fried catfish, fried green tomatoes, fried okra, pan roasted trout, BBQ, mashed potatoes, green beans, collard greens, mac & cheese, biscuits and cornbread. All done the right way. Oh why oh why can't we get some of this good southern cooking in San Francisco?
