Let's play house, let's play house, let's play houuuusseeee. Damn I love that song and the club isn't so bad either. Monday Night Social's new home is at Playhouse. "Vegas" style club eh? I guess you can say that. Vegas as in -small venue with nice lighting system? Check -cool nicely decorated patio? Uncheck - just a fenced off back alley (no drinks allowed outside) -steep drink prices? Maybe check - typical prices. $13 for Henny 'n Coke. -awesome sound system? Check, get ready to feel the bass!!! VIP/bottle service is definitely nice here since the tables are elevated and are roped off. I love the fact the bottle service menu lights up when you open it. So many times in the dark, a bottle of goose looks like $450 on the menu, when it's really $550 =P Goose here is $350. Not BAD AT ALL! Ever since MNS's move from Nacional, the crowd is a bit more Hollywood and less private/underground for a Monday Night. Dress code was pretty laxed on Monday, my friend had on white sneaks, baggy jeans and a sporty jacket and he got in just fine. Most Monday nights, it is free if you RSVP and most Mondays that fall after big party weekends (EDC, Monster Massive, TaO, etc), you'll find some big surprise sets by major DJs that played over the weekend or just surprise visits of the DJs partying it up!

Hmmm, I'm not quite sure what to make of this place... is it a sports bar that wants to be a nightclub? or is it a nightclub that wants to be a sports bar? Luckily, I didn't go on a night where they charged cover, so I had an overall good experience. They have good beers on tap and its crowded on most nights (including week nights). I like that they have pool tables, foosball tables, dart boards, and other various bar games. I'm still not sure it would be the best place to watch sporting events tho... I'm still trying to find my "ideal" sports bar.

This venue is amazing. I saw Jem here a few years ago and it was my first introduction to the GAMH. It was packed, but the crowd was awesome. The sound was fantastic and it travels very well throughout. The GAMH is a beautiful venue that has been well kept by it's owners. It truly is a staple San Francisco spot.
