where do i start? busby's is open for pretty much any occasion (sports games, beer, cocktails, food, dancing, games, and probably more?), it's like a party buffet. it's a good place for anything, and i guess the whole world knows that too. every time i'm here, this place is poppin'. i mean, it's jam-packed. great bartenders, they make super stiff drinks. servers are especially nice and fun. food is pretty good, but nothing 'out of this world.' good variety of music. there's a little outdoor area conveniently located in the middle of the bar area. a lot of smokers there, and it's nice to get some air without having to go all the way downstairs through the crowd.

They sold WAAAAAAAAYYY too many tickets for new years eve! I'm 100% sure they broke the law on capacity. Drinks were SO watered down they were done in 3 sips. The music was good, and it was a fun crowd, but as soon as coat check got crowded it was MAYHEM! The security guards had NO IDEA how to handle it! They checked 2 of my friends coats under one ticket, and only got ONE coat back! We only got some of our stuff back. They were down 2 id' and 2 debit cards! And waited 3 HOURS on line to coat check! They were kicking people out for no reason when they were behaving, and left violent morons do what they want! And coat check was downright reckless.

Stranded at the Austin Bergstrom Airport on a Friday night because the airline cancelled 2 flights... Oh well might as well make the best of it. The AUS is actually not a bad airport to get stranded in if you are hungry... They have plenty of spots that are only in Texas: Amy's Ice Cream, Maudie's Tex Mex, Earl Campbell's, but the best in my book is the Salt Lick hands down. Good Texas Q. Had the chopped brisket sandwich. Loaded with a tangy BBQ sauce, and in a fresh sesame roll, and loaded with their smoky tender chopped brisket, it really hit the spot. Washed it down with a Ziegen Bock Amber (also only in Texas). Yum... Now if I only had a flight to take me back to SFO, I would be psyched.
