Not much to complain about, I suppose. I'm not a club person, but I'll give this a shot. This will be longer than necessary: The Bathrooms: The bathrooms were weird. Individual stalls were labeled by gender, and the sinks were common. Now, I suppose that was to level out the disuse of the guys' sinks and the overcrowding of the girls', but all it really did was create a long line/moshpit in the weird little bathroom area while a bunch of high-heeled *ahem* ladies refreshed their makeup. (Aside: I wonder where they store those giant makeup bags while they're grinding on the tables...) Guess what, toots? That handsome wears-his-sunglasses-at-night stranger that you're drawing on eyebrows for is going to grope you with dirty pee-hands because he got impatient waiting for a sink to free up! Anyway. The Music: The only reason I'm writing a review for this place at all is because of the music. I didn't pay much attention to it at first, but then I heard AC/DC come on. Then DJ Donovan proceeded to shake me all night long... My boyfriend only listens to electronic music now (see http://Mugasha.com, love of his life) and try as I do, I'm not a huge fan. But this was music we could both get around! He did a bunch of electronica mash-ups of my favorite oldies (With or Without You, Here Comes the Rain Again, that serious moonlight song, etc.) with live drums, electric violin (by Dave Kim) and guitar! The entire club actually stopped dancing during a few of the songs to watch. I have literally never seen that happen before. The Crowd: A little older and a lot sluttier. I will admit, though, that I am 22 at the time of this review, so pretty much anyone at any club is "a little older." Sometimes "a lot," but I don't go to those clubs. Anyway, promiscuous types in minimal clothing and their thirties. Yippee. The Seating: I hear tables on Wednesday nights are $150. If you're the kind of person that would get a table on Wednesday night, please stop reading my review because I have nothing to say to you. Anyway, I guess they didn't sell out last weekend because there was actually ample room to sit down, including on the tables themselves (genius idea) as long as you didn't accidently seat your keister in one of the sunken ice buckets. Oops. The Photographer: He was having a lot of fun making silly drunk girls pose for pictures. It was really entertaining and will produce way more interesting pictures than your standard club shots. Coat check is free, and so is cover if you're on the guest list. If you're going to hit up Vessel, definitely do it on a Donovan night. That is all.

FLIP gets 5 stars in my opinion.  I have no complaint or reason to give it any less, as it was outstanding and innovative. We sat outside on the patio, which was primarily covered with large umbrellas that provided some shade.  Inside, however, seemed pretty crowded and a little loud for a chill Sunday dinner so that is why we opted for patio dining. Our server was awesome.  After playing 2.5 hours of singles today in the (at least) 85 degree weather, I was downing waters like it was my job.  Sure enough though, my water was never empty. With regards to the main reason we were there, the food was delectable.  And ya know what, being a pescetarian, I don't even eat burgers!  Rather than a veggie burger (although they are more creatively named than that!), I got the Tuna Burger.  Damn it was good.  Perfectly portioned at 5.5 ounces, Richard is leading the way in smaller portions (which is not something I am too good at sometimes... Hehe).  My BF and his mom shared the Shrimp and Chorizo Burgers, and we all split 4 sides: French Fries, Sweet Potato Tater Tots, Beet and Goat Cheese Salad, and Fried Asparagus.  The fries were the best, although I am biased because I love french fries! To encounter the whole experience, we were not done at just that though.  My BF got a Cheerwine, which is a soda that is terribly sweet but certainly tasty (a little too much sugar for my liking though).  To conclude our meal, we all split a Liquid Nitrogen-Nutella and Roasted Marshmellow Milkshake.  YUMMY!  Ok, it was $7, and after reading reviews bashing the price, I am coming to its defense.  Come on!  You pay $5 for a milkshake at Johnny Rockets or Baskin Robbins!  $2 more is not bad for being at a trendy place that happens to be owned by a fantastic chef who should have ( in my opinion) won Top Chef. Our total bill--- short recap: 3 burgers, 4 sides, a Cheerwine, and a Milkshake--- was $52.  We were stuffed and happy.  Good atmosphere, great service, cool tunes, and fantastic food equals 5 stars in my book.  We will be back.

felt under-dressed both times i saw shows here. the mars volta, iron & wine. really well-designed, elegant building and good sound. lots of places to chill out before the show. every seat is good, pretty easy to move around but may need more leg room. you can park down the street for $5 or so.
