by ADRIENNE M. on I absolutely loved this restaurant, I may be a little biased since I can't find Dominican food anywhere near where I live, but I have eaten at other Dominican places in DR and in NY and by far this is the best! We got there late, about 11PM on a Friday night, it was busy, they said about a 15 minute wait. We went to the bar, it was crowded but not hard to get a drink although it was a little pricey ($20 for a rum and coke and an amaretto sour). DJ music started a little after we were seated, it was loud but it added to the ambiance. The noise didn't bother me at all, in fact I enjoyed it, the music was all new stuff. I loved it, I've never been to a place like this. People were dancing in their seats, the employees were having fun and seemed to love their jobs. We ordered appetizers to start off, I had the chicken pinchos and my friend had the baked plantain with bacalao. Both arrived quickly and tasted great! We ordered the churrasco to share with the yuca fries. This was THE BEST I have ever had. The steak was seasoned and so tender and was a good portion size. The yuca fries were like no other I have ever had before, I have no idea how they made them but they were good! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area!
by Earle Kruml on I had my apprehensions about this place, but they were all washed away by the end of the night. The food was flavorful and the drinks had kick. I am now a fan of Diddy's Ciroc, the martini was primo! The fortune cookies had erotic messages, which was legit haha. There is one thing that was annoying, the crowd. It is no fun being crammed like sardines in a standing room only lounge/waiting area.
by Hosea Bumpas on Classic heavy Mexican in the American style. Not the fresca light modenr stuff. This is a sit-down and drink and get fat meal. You'll love it if you love traditional Calif Mexican food. Simple.
