Remember the scene in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas where Hunter Thompson is tripping on Acid in a bar full of Lizzards? Well I had flashbacks to that scene when I went to Carnival. The floor is sticky, like really sticky. Impossible to get a footing. Bring your golf cleats. Add in all of the circus games and you get one hell of a Hunter S Thompson acid nightmare sequence.

Unlike many of the sleazy go-go bars in Jackson Heights that always display 'se necesita mesera' signs, Terraza 7 Train Café boasts an artsy friendly atmosphere. I live not too far from it and decided to check it out one night. I thought that this would live up to what was presented on their website but I was sorely suprised. First there was supposed to be a band playing that night. I called up the place and I even checked out the website and was assured that a) the band was playing and b) there was no cover charge. So I came there and found that there was going to be no show. Second, the place is so teeny tiny that you have to squeeze into the place. Additionally the drinks were weak so that's always a bad sign. Furthermore the crowd there wasn't as friendly as I would have liked. Everyone seemed to be stuck within their own little world-and I expected so much more. I guess that it might have been a off night for this small lounge, and I might come back to give it a second try. But it's always bad when you promote an event and it doesn't occur. Also it said that they accept credit cards but when I went to pay it said 'Cash Only'. This place gets 2 stars by me because they show promise of being better than a 1 star but need to communicate effectively what they are going to have that night and other need to know information like methods of payment.

Eh. So. Me and my friends were looking for somewhere to go for her birthday and heard of Marbella and that it was a new club and we love to try new things. We get to Marbella and the line is as long as ever. We decided to push to the front and see what would happen. Now, were in the front and here comes this guy and he says,' make room for the pretty girls' (mind you we pre partied) so ... we laughed and talked about their outfits and lame boyfriend ha loser. Then, this guy comes and gets us and takes us inside and gives us free passes; because were hot duh. We get in and there are spanish people everywhere. I didn't research the club and just took my friends advice when she said it'd be a good place. Yes it is a good place but I am more of a fan of .. white men. So, I decided to hit the bar because I was not drunk enough; uh 15 for an adios! Ah well its my friends birthday. Overall I seek diversity, it is cool if you are of fan of spanish men because they were thick in there and I would of been down if some of them were hot; not. Expensive drinks. Farely large with an outside patio. The bathroom is small ... like made for midgets. Upgrade that. Not worth $20 but as far as Im concerned we get in for free.
