Stumbled into this place with my lady friend on New Years Eve. The cocktails are very reasonably priced and there is a good selection of top shelf spirits. Cool atmosphere, good live music on the piano and a mature crowd. Dressy and classy without being yuppie. Didn't venture into the back area where the piano is. Next time!

FUCK this place. so it was my friends 20th birthday, and we were walking down hollywood blvd to find a club to go to. one of mood's promoters grabbed us and told us to go to mood, he said it was 18 and over. he walked us there himself and took us to the front of the line. we had about 6 people, everyone was 21 except my friend. so as we all get our id's checked and give them our money, they look at my friend's id and tell her she can't come in. so naturally, we're not going to go in either. we ask for our money back and they say no... WTF!!! so i talked to one security gaurd and he gave me my money back, but he wouldn't give the guys their money back. i told them i don't see the logic in that and they said "we don't make the rules" then they kept repeating "no refund no refunds" WE DIDNT EVEN GO INTO THE CLUB! and apparently they give some refunds since i got my money back but no one in my group could. THE SECURITY GAURDS ARE ON A POWER TRIP. we asked to speak to a manager or owner and they gave us a fake name... they paused and said "david smith" THIS PLACE IS A JOKE i wanted to slap those fuckers in the face, seriously. maybe they should educate their promoters on the age limit because we were misinformed and then our money got stolen. ridiculous.

Well...this place officially put the nail in the coffin of the Boston Scene. Whatever it was anyways. I always expected this place to be an amazing, huge, crazy, pulsating, all-night club with mad dancing, diverse patrons and mind blowing music. Well, the music was perfectly loud. That's about all I can say positive about it. Weird mix of people. And by weird I don't mean a cool, diverse mix of people, I mean a weird mix of people. The space is small and crowded, and while I'm o.k. with them not selling booze, do they really need to haul in the huge tacky soft-drink vending machines? Uhg. I could over-look all of this because I'm just there to dance until the sun comes up anyways. It's an all night club, you only go to dance, there is no other reason to be there right? Right? Why is nobody dancing? Oh, yeah, because this is Boston, and Boston doesn't dance. I'm gettin' out of here.
