by Ashley M. on Went here for a business lunch today. We had reservations, but the restaurant was fairly empty (on a Wednesday) so it's probably not necessary. Cons first: Parking is expensive. Either park next door in the hourly lot, or across the street in the lot for $6. Kinda pricey for 2 hours. Restaurant set up: all the tables are really close together and I hate being able to hear the next table's conversation. Pros: food was delicious, reasonably priced, ambience really nice - southern, yet modern. Service/staff exceptional. Extensive wine list. Our server was Rocky and she (yes, she) was really good. I liked that she wasn't overly formal and pretentious...she said what she needed to say and didn't put on airs. She also made sure we had everything we needed and made sure not to interrupt us when we were talking business. We had the she-crab soup and fried green tomotoes to start. The soup was excellent..had great flavor and not too thick or creamy nor was it thin and soupy. The tomatoes were yummy too! Perfectly crisp and just enough goat cheese to soften the acidity of the tomato...and even after sitting a few minutes they did not get soggy at all, thank goodness - I hate sloshy fried green tomatoes....ugh. I hade the BBQ sandwich and I will honestly say that it was the best BBQ sandwich I've EVER had. Perfect in every way. The sauce was rich, sweet but not too sweet, the pork tender and juicy. Can't wait to go back to check out their dinner menu!
by Mel V. on It's a huge room with Japanese decor and flying ladies from the ceiling. There was a $15 cover and the drinks were very expensive. (Between $11-13). The crowd is not my style. Will not be back.
by Penny Halpainy on Weak-pouring wussy ignore-you bartenders who get pissed when you finally give up (IT WAS SO BAD THAT ____I____ GAVE UP) to walk away to a different bar like you f'ing owe them something, overcrowded, so-drunk-they're-spilling-their-drinks-on-your-$10 0-hoodie marina-ites... Yeah, never again. The music was great, but we paid $50 each which didn't include any drinks or coat checks or anything else for that matter and basically felt trapped in the club with the only "fresh" air available being that stale with smoke.. And, I sure couldn't enjoy Diplo's set with the 6 foot in heels she-bitch trying to fight me for the front.
